I’ve been to Millers a few times over the years to get various items. Today, my husband and I went to get flowers t for a new flower bed we are working on. The first woman I encountered was nice. She asked if I needed help and offered assistance if I had any questions. However she was the only bright spot. My husband experienced rudeness from 3 different women working there. Two were accusatorially asking to him about the plastic flat he was using to carry the number of flowers we had. Another scolded him when he asked about putting the plants into cardboard flats as we were preparing to checkout. At that moment, there were at least 6 women working in the checkout area. My husband and I were both shocked at the way the women spoke to each other. Very unprofessional. As I was checking out the woman adding up my flowers, berated another who as trying to help. At the same time my husband was loading the car with another worker who rudely asked where we had gotten the flowers already in our car. At the time, we weren’t aware of what the other was hearing. But if I wasn’t already in the process of paying, we would have left the $80 worth of fliers on the counter and walked out. Miller’s flowers are beautiful, but those who seem to be running the place are miserable and nasty. There are plenty of locally owned greenhouses in Hamburg we can choose from. We will never give Millers our...
Read moreWe’ve purchased our flowers and other garden items here for several years. Today when making our purchase we were asked if we had cash instead of a card for our purchase. Funny thing is though we had seen multiple people cash out ahead of with purchases under $15 each with card and not one of them were asked that. So why us with a $50 purchase? And we had to listen to her complain about the banks and credit cards companies making more money for themselves with fees. Then she asked us if we live close by and can bring the flats back. We are all fine and good with saving money and cutting costs but be consistent and not rude. Post on your social media and make it a policy across the board for cash under certain limits and bringing your own containers. We’ve never been blown away with the customer service here. But the plants and...
Read moreEnjoyed a delicious watermelon from this location and did not regret it. My overseas boyfriend was adamant of the many grocery store melons he’d purchased during his multi-week stay in Buffalo, this was the greatest and the sweetest of all. The property was very cute too. $10 limit for card purchases but that just gave us an excuse to get some kettle corn. We gleefully skipped away with our goods and would just as...
