Phillip J. Rotella Memorial Golf Course — Local services in Town of Haverstraw

That while the course is nice, and the price competitive some of the employees have issues with manners. While I can 100% sympathize that this weekend is a holiday weekend (Memorial Day) and the course was packed, the price paid per person to golf was no less than on a non packed / holiday weekend. Instead an employee took it upon himself to rush us along stating “we were taking too long to take our 2nd swings”. There were 3 people in our group, paying $100pp and we had a slower group in front of us who had 4 people and the 4 girls behind us were going quickly so we were being told (not asked) to rush so that we could in turn rush the group ahead of us. If this is what golfing here is like (and this is not the first time golfing here), then I think I prefer to find a course...

Unprofessional Staff Behavior

I recently interacted with an online account directly affiliated with this course regarding a golf equipment listing and was shocked at the level of hostility and unprofessionalism I received in response to a simple negotiation question. Instead of declining politely, I was met with personal insults and aggressive language.

If this is how guests or potential customers are treated, it reflects poorly on the values and customer service standards of the golf course as a whole. I expect a higher level of professionalism from any course representing the game of golf.

Played here in early-April, as the NJ courses were closed. This is a very nice golf course. Tee boxes, fairways, hazards, everything was great. And the greens were true and fast. Pace of play was good, too. Lastly, the staff (abiding by all the social distancing restrictions) was very professional. My only complaint was that some areas off of the fairways were a little neglected, but better there than on the course. Would recommend highly...
