My fiance' and I went to Countryside over the weekend to look at pellet inserts. We were greeted in the showroom by a women who informed us that they did not have any pellet insets on display. We decided to just walk around and look anyways. Shortly after Keith the owner asked if "we" needed any help or had any questions however all of his attention and questions were directed towards my fiance' which I thought was rude to begin with however the rudeness didn't end there. During the conversation Keith asked my fiance' where HE lived. My fiance' answered him with where we live. Keith proceeded to talk about the pellet stove and installation. One comment he made was "unless your a handyman" again directing this to my fiance'. I turned to my fiance' and said "notice how he said handyMAN instead of handyperson". Keith's response to this was "I only care were HE lives, we don't care where YOU live." It took everything in me not to explode on this guy at this point. Once we were done we walked outside and we discussed some other options so we went back inside and were greeted by David who was a breath of fresh air from Keith. He was great until Keith decided to barge in and completely take over the conversation and pretty much force David out of it sending David walking away. My finance explained to Keith that we were talking outside and that I wanted to see wood insert options to which Keith's response was to roll his eyes and say "ughh, women! This is why you weren't important earlier". Talk about condescending!!!!
Let me tell you something Keith. Don't judge a book by it's cover. Let's go back to the fact that it's MY house that I bought MYSELF and was actually going to be the one paying for the stove. Just because my fiance' was wearing a camo sweatshirt and camo boots doesn't mean he knows how to install anything, in fact I'M the one who has done and continues to do ALL OF my own home improvements from construction, electrical, plumbing and beyond!
Know who you're talking to before you make dumb, insulting, condescending comments because you definitely will not be getting my business and I hope everyone reading this will think twice about doing...
Read moreWe love Countryside stoves. Great to look around and ask questions with no pressure. We were not sure what we wanted exactly, but after looking around, asking many questions, comparing old with new (we had one 20 years ago). They are so much more efficient, with many choices of style. We purchased a gas fireplace stand alone model. It was promptly delivered two weeks later and the installers were excellent. They arrived on time and were completely finished in a couple hours. Everything was cleaned and you would never know they had been working for a few hours. They had to connect to the gas line outside and it was easily done and looks fine on the outside of the house. The two young men who did the work were prompt, professional, courteous, friendly, and gave us excellent instructions on how to work the remote. We thought everything was great but the service person did not like the sound of the fan and promptly ordered a new one, which was delivered and installed in less than a week. We did not notice anything, and we were impressed by his knowledge and concern. We will have any service needs performed by Countryside and if we want another or need a replacement for any reason, we will deal only with Countryside. We love our gas fireplace. So easy dealing with this very friendly and ...
Read moreI have absolutely nothing good to say about Countryside Stove and Chimney. They installed a new stove at my home. I made sure someone came out to measure and make sure they had all materials needed, as I would need to take the day off work while they install the new unit. After the installation, I noticed that the chimney pipe was not installed correctly to the stove. The pipe had disconnected from the stove, leaving gaps where smoke and carbon monoxide could leak out. I had to take another day off to have them come fix that. The first rain we got, I noticed water dripping down around the chimney. I had them back again to fix the problem. All they did was use about 2 tubes of silicone to fix the leak. They used the wrong size chimney cap and just pieced it together with metal and silicone. Not what I paid for!!! I paid $7500 for a good stove and professional install and got something my 5th grade son could have done. I called today for my free chimney cleaning that came with the purchase of the new stove. They said that they couldn’t get to it until late November. That is 3 months away. I have had it with these people!!!! They do garbage work, and have garbage customer service. Do not buy anything from this horrible...
