I purchased a composite fence from this company (through Menards) and the panels warped after a year. When I reached out to the company to request warranty, it was denied with the claim of improper installation. As a Quality Engineer that has experience on the other side of warranty claims, I referred to the installation instructions which I used to install. I followed them correctly however, there are installation specifications that just are not present in there - such as screw torque and such. I was forwarded to the plant manager who did not seem to care about quality or maybe didn’t understand what quality means. He told me that I should take the fence panels off and let them straighten in the sun…. I could have saved about $300 because I had to fix it all myself anyways. Miters don't line up, sink hole was cut too small (not matching with the template), and the island top was warped and had chips. Their only response to all of the issues is that the warping on the island is normal and the guy said it was because I did not use build up strips and I kept telling him I did and sent pictures. Read moreWe're reviewing Dakota shiplap in matte black, NOT Menards. We designed a fireplace using stone and Dakota shiplap. After about 2 months the finish started to bubble on several of the boards. Midwest Manufacturing told us to remove the bad pieces and take them to Menards for replacement. To do this requires destroying the whole fireplace as the shiplap was the first part of the install. Poor customer service...
