The shopkeeper (maybe the owner, I hope not!) There were no other customers beside me & my husband. She never said even single hello. We previously stopped by the shop a day or two earlier. We got the same treatment. I suspect the shopkeeper acted that way because of my color. Such overt racism is rare today & honestly most people in the region were friendly, but not this woman. That said, there's always a possibility that the person may have been just an unpleasant person, or simply hates her job.
