There is nothing better then the Nostalgia of a Drive-In... if your able to find one still, so for that reason, I might go back if they brighten up their screens to be able to make any part out. The screens are really dark and you can hardly see the movies played, which they could adjust if they cared when setting up the movies and test them ....they see it and know! I definately have to repay to see the movie again due to the extremely poorly lit screens. And they are not big about making sure people stick to the rules of drive-ins these days, of course, they are paid "first" n then you drive in and realize they live in an RV on the property and could care less about people's experiences and it's too late you just entered a carefree, free for all, with no refunds....people constantly starting n moving cars so head lights constantly on n off, alot of cars left their lights on towards the screens, and noone that owns the place said a thing but they state they will make you push in for others to add up that dough if need be, and the drive in is completely surrounded by dense woods so the bugs the size of N.Y. itself, were so bad I felt like a piece of steak on a picnic table, they were Relentless, extremely huge this year, very loud and real hungry! It didnt help that there is a campground right beside it or someone just trying to ruin the atmosphere for the Drive-In, that did fireworks the entire time through everyone's movies and stopped as everyones movie was ending, def didnt help with the gigantic bugs bouncing off you the whole time! So you not only couldn't see the movie but couldn't hear it either. What a shame, we were looking forward to it our entire trip and it was my fiancee first drive-in ever, back in the day people had more respect for a traditional drive-in show and the other attendees and the drive-ins made sure they adjusted the screens to be seen cuz they cared, beware now a day though there are reviews, such a bummer of a first time memory to make, after hyping it up so much to my fiancee! I had to express that drive-in in Malta does not define Drive-Ins and We'll have to make an excuse for another road trip and visit Laconia, N.H. Drive-In, soon! You'll find our photo's of how dark the screens really are, "REAL" PHOTOS AS OF JULY 2020....Decide for yourself cuz it was nothing like what they show you in their 4 pics. DO DRIVE-INS SPRAY THE AREA? **ALL I CAN SAY IS BUGGGG SPPRAAYYY!!! IF IT HELPS AT...
Read moreMy family of three made a night to go to the drive-ins. Malta Theatre was doing a throwback Thursday. They were showing "The Goonies". We were so excited because this was a special occasion. It was our daughters first drive-in movie EVER. We arrived promptly at 7. Set up our car and visited the consession booth. So cool. We then got in our car and waited for the show. We got the alert the show was about to begin at approximately 8:05. We watched the advertisements, preview and the great vintage clips (dancing hotdogs have always been my favorite). Then the screen went black. It then came back on and we watched yet another round of advertisements, previews and vintage clips. People began honking and going to the booth to say something was wrong. We just sat waiting about 30 minutes of continuing to watch the clips. The manager finally updated us that there was indeed a problem. The show would begin shortly. About ten minutes later we are told it would play right after the next preview. It did not. We then got told the owner was on the way and that the movie was not in the play list with sincere apologies. We waited for the owner to arrive and after another 10 minutes we were told the movie never took to the hard drive or something to that affect. They said they would play the second feature "The Gremlins". So we packed up our car along with 90% of the other patrons and got a refund. This experience was disappointing for us as a family and our little girl for her very first drive-in experience. We think the wait time of being updated was lengthy. Especially the original update that there was "indeed a problem", waited over an hour from the original start time because the manager kept saying soon. Arrived at 7 and left at 9:30 to not see the movie we were mainly there to see. Very sad but we did receive our money back. Staff...
Read moreThe "employees" in the concession stand were EXTREMELY rude. When I ordered a coffee the young man said they were out and asked me if I wanted a coffee bag. When I asked what that was the young man said he didn't know. Another lady told me it was like a tea bag. Ok, so I ordered it. The cup was less than half full of water with a coffee bag on the side. I asked if he could fill it with more water and he gave me attitude about it and rolled his eyes. Then when I got to the register I was overcharged for the coffee. When I said that the sign said a different price the girl told me that I was wrong and reminded me that she worked there and I didn't. So I walked over to the sign and pointed out the price (I would have let it go if I didn't get an attitude about it) and 2 employees began talking loudly about "how embarrassing it is to care about 50 cents" and laughing. I was trying to let it go until a girl came over and angrily gave me my correct change while I was using the cream and sugar. They continued laughing and talking about me while my son and I were in there. They should be ashamed and embarrassed, as well as the drive in movie theater for allowing such immature, rude, incompetent people to continue working for them. I...
