Why not go visit a reindeer farm and get to meet pet and feed the reindeer? Family fun for everyone. I found the reindeer farm after searching on line if a farm was relatively close by. Shortsville Reindeer farm was close enough to take a day trip. Reservations are made on site and cost is kept at a price where families seniors and all can enjoy. After booking you will receive a confirmation through Gmail. Also Shortsville offers a fb page regarding events and activities and the many georgeous photos of the reindeer available so you can fall in love with. While arriving at tge farm you will drive through a long wooded driveway and parking attendants are there to direct you accordingly. If you have mobility issues you may be dropped off at the barn for easy access. The barn is where the one hour meet and greet the farm owner Mike and where the hour seminar will take place. Before entering you will notice another barn where handlers will be walking the reindeer in a coral space. It's a great photo opportunity as well as many others to be had while visiting the farm. The barn inside is comfy and warm with a real fireplace lit for all to enjoy. Hay stack and benches are provided and we're comfortable for sitting. A gift shop is provided for souvenirs to take home. I highly reccomed the reindeer kisses chap stick. I bought several for gifting. Also reindeer wishes ornaments for the tree. Sweat shirts are also available. Mike the farm owner put on a wonderful presentation in which I learned interesting facts about the reindeer. He welcomed questions throughout the crowd and gave his time to all. Brody the reindeer was the feature star of the day and was inside a coral next to Mike while he gave the presentation. How fun to hear about Brodis antics! After the presentation is finished you have the opportunity to get close up feed and pet the reindeer. Handlers are with the reindeer at all time to make the experience a safe one. You may also take the opportunity to chat with the handlers about the reindeer and take lots of photos. Props such as old fashion sleds are set up for plenty of selfie photo opportunities. Also a few other barns in a matter of steps welcome you to visit a few other shy reindeer. Thank you Shortsville Reindeer farm for a most enjoyable visit. See you...
