Bit of a mixed experience. We won a table at an auction, however lost the hutch that had been part of a matching set. The woman working the auction had said that sometimes if a person loses one piece of a set but wins the other they might want to forfeit their first item, as they wanted all or nothing. Which is what happened in our case. We won the table but lost the hutch, so the person who won the hutch forfeit their winnings. The woman offered the hutch to us, which had an end price of $100 flat. We spent a few weeks going back and forth over text to figure out when to pick it up, finally going back a few weeks later. I would've thought that we would've paid what the person who forfeit the item would've paid, or honestly maybe even less since the auction had ended and we're getting it off their hands quickly and easily. However when we told her we'd give her $90 (before taxes and premiums) she said that was too low and kind of gave us a firm price of $150 with little bargaining powder. We brought $160 in cash, since that's all we had on hand at the time, and she had the audacity to not offer to go down, and instead stood there awkwardly until we just said keep the change. Doing the math, we paid $100 that the item ended at, the 25% premium and tax, and then the other $35 went... I guess in her pocket.
Now I'm definitely a bit of a pushover and could've done more to get the price down or hagle a little, but it definitely doesn't feel great when you're already feeling ripped off and the woman who shows up to the auction in an expensive car and nice clothes tells you she has no change for cash and wants you to pay MORE than what the original customer SHOULD'VE paid. We were very accommodating with meeting with her to pick it up and made it very easy for her, yet she had to run us dry out of every cent. Again, this is totally my fault for letting her run over me, but I'm just letting anyone reading this know that this woman, at least, isn't the nicest of people who will make sure you get your money's worth. She's definitely there to make a profit, and...
Read moreWhen my dad passed we had no idea what to do with all the furniture and belongs he and my mom acquired over the years - 63 to be exact. We posted items on E-Bay / Craig's list, people scheduled appointments, many said they'd get back to us or were no shows. We would follow-up with the phone number they provided to us which were either 'fake' numbers or our calls would not be responded to.
My brother and I did not have time nor the energy to do an estate or garage sale, so I went online looking for help and came upon Terri Peters and Associates.
Terri met with us and did an assessment of what we had. Shortly thereafter, we were provided a quote for the sale & removal of ALL items. Within a few weeks the entire contents of the house were removed, with a few of the more old and unique items going to her sight for auction or consignment.
Also, because Terri is a real estate agent as well…she was able to handle the personal property and the real estate. Her team contacted us within 24 hours and they got us the best-selling price for my dad’s home. This helped us from having to yellow-page shot and the stress of hoping we picked the right real estate agent to work for us.
I cannot say enough about Terri Peters! She was always available for questions and took the time out of her busy day to answer them, either by a phone call, text or e-mail. This lady never rests. Would I recommend Terri Peters and Associates? Absolutely!!!! I can guarantee you will get the same professional service as we did.

Read moreI suspected that they were dishonest, then they proved it. I had cancelled my bids on an online auction, because they were not acknowledging them. I had left bids on items that came up for later in the auction. I posted at least (3) times to please cancel all my bids. After the auction, they sent me a bill for a lot I supposedly won, long after I cancelled my bids. I also had a tax ID on file and was exempt from paying sales tax, which they charged me. I again informed them of that fact. They never adjusted the bill. I declined to pay citing the cancellations. But they persist in badgering me to pay for something I rescinded my bid on. The amount was minor, but it was the principle of the matter. I decided to send them a check for the corrected amount. After they received and cashed the check, I came to find that they had also charged my credit card the full amount. So with their knowledge they charged me more than double the correct amount. I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge, supplied the pertinent information and had the 2nd charge cancelled. I also never got the items I supposedly won. I did not want to deal or meet these people and didn't want to pay for delivery.
The fact that they knowingly had the gall to charge me more than double what was owed should be a true testament to...
