This is an Upstate NY vintage, gift, and found object treasure trove. Went in here with a specific mission: Secure a vintage workman’s jacket in good condition as a gift for my partner…for under $200 which seems to be the going price online. What the owners helped me find in my budget was waaaaay cooler. A 1950’s hunting jacket in pristine condition. Then we filled the pockets with cute pens and other stocking stuffers. I will definitely be going back to spend some time trying on jeans, t’s, and short sleeve sweatshirts for myself. There is also an incredible collection of found photos and postcards that the owners have collected during their travels available at super affordable prices. Owners Sam & Amanda are lovely and leave you to explore on your own, but are super knowledgeable and jump right in if you have questions. I learned so much about the evolution of pocket construction over the last century 🤓 Insiders tip: There seem to be even more goodies stored in the secret back room so ask Sam if you are in the market for something special and u don’t see it hanging on the sales floor 👀 There is parking in a lot right next to the store and a great pizza place (Ollie’s) across the street if you work up an appetite from shopping.

I have not stopped talking about my time at Fool for Love since visiting for the first time on Feb 21st. Until that icy Friday evening, I had never had a vintage shopping experience that was so curated, so obviously cared for, and so expertly guided. Sam (one of the owners) let us into the shop just minutes before closing and proceeded to hand select multiple garments for me based on our various conversations around my personal style and attraction towards older menswear fits. I live in Queens and, despite the 2 hour drive distance, I am picturing many excursions up to High Falls in my future with the sole purpose of visiting this magical shop. Also, FFL is not just for menswear! My girlfriend also had a blast shopping around and walked away with some beautiful pieces. Truly believe there is something for everyone at this oasis. Thank you, Sam!

I'm so happy they decided to come to High Falls! Their shop looks beautiful from the street and even more beautiful once you step inside. The owners are so sweet and down to earth, and they clearly put a lot of love and hard work into their store. Such a beautifully curated selection of items. Highly recommend!

What a glorious shop this is! My wife and I had our first visit this evening, and this kind of store is unfortunately uncommon. EVERY item in this shop, including their displays, is curated to be there. High quality, lasting items that are there for you to enjoy for years to come. No crap, no fillers, no junk. Im a stationery and pen lover, and their offerings are exquisite! I don’t have great luck fitting into vintage clothing, but their selection of clothing makes me interested in trying! Go here...
