Saxby Implement Corporation — Local services in Town of Mendon

Very unprofessional staff and owners. We took our mower in last year for a tune up and the young new mechanic that worked on it obviously did not know what he was doing, because when we got it back the engine blew up!

We bought our Kubota at Saxbys and have only had it serviced there. They had our fairly brand new lawnmower for months and left it outside in lousy weather, even though we had asked them to cover at least the seat. At this point, they did give us a loaner. We got our mower back and 2 hours after using it, it is broken again and they are blaming it on a stick, even though we check our yard before mowing. So, it’s back in the shop. Then, when I called to see when we would get it back, the woman who answered the phone was rude and very unprofessional. I told her I had taken this week off from work to get my yard in order and her reply to me was “that’s ridiculous!!” - for context, I have 8 acres that all needs to be mowed, and now I have no mower once again!! Now, she refuses to give us a loaner!! They picked the mower up and I haven’t heard a word about when I will get it back!

I know it’s convenient for the Victor and Mendon area to go to Saxbys, but if you can avoid it, you should!

I DO NOT RECOMEND THIS PLACE I purchased a lawn mower on 04/23/2018 at Saxby Implement corporation, they had good reviews and what I thought would be a great place to buy my first lawn mower (cub cadet). On 04/27/2018 I went to use it for the first time and after about 35min of running/mowing it started to rev high and low and act up. I DID NOT EVER ADD ANY OIL, OR GASOLINE to the mower, I used what it came with in it. I took the mower back to saxby and the maintenance worker told me he would have it fixed by Tuesday 05/01/2018. On 05/01/2018 the maintenance worker said he couldnt figure out what was wrong with it and it hasn't acted up with him at all since he has had it and he wanted to keep it 2 more days to keep testing it, but he said I can come pick it up take it home at my own risk. I then talked to the sales guy right after the maintenance worker and told him I would like a different mower or be refunded, he said he will take a look at it. IN 1 HOUR he (fixed) it after they had it since Friday!? The sales guy told me it was the gas in it and it's all good he would bring it back to me today, I decided to give them 1 more chance. They are close to my home so convenience outweighs all other factors for me. I buy mower parts there. I have bought handheld power tools there. I always have my Ferris commercial mower serviced there. I have not bought new mowers or tractors there yet. They do seem on the expensive side for the new tractors, but they are the pre-eminent Kubota dealer around these parts. I hope to be a proud owner of one of these someday. Special kudos to Randy in the service department for straight up being a good guy. He's honest and tells you like it is. He's always reliable about calling me when a service choice needs to be made on my Ferris. He has, on occasion, talked me through a repair at home to avoid bringing it in. ...and the kicker, he went out of his way after work, on his way home, to make a house call and get my old Ferris beast running again.
