How does one leave a review where words fail you to explain what an absolute joy and pleasure it is to be a tribesman/ family of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu at Victor. I have a family of very shy and cautious children, two girls and a boy. They had tried some Karate before but were very quick to let us know that they did not want to be enrolled again. I was weary when we signed up for the ten day trial here at this accredited center for Jiu-jitsu and day one minute one we knew this was gold! Very first lesson we met coach Chris and my kids and I were in love. We all signed up, even I, the 40 year old father with no martial art training background! I am proud to say that we have been proud Gracie tribesmen since and hope to have a lifetime journey of learning here with these awesome folks. John (the owner) has cultivated an absolutely incredible community of coaches. They are so knowledgeable, masters of their trade, yet the most humble and approachable people ever. The teaching is done with care for all students at all levels involved. Whether you are a beginner, young or old, they have you! Our six-year-old son started at UMAC a few months ago and absolutely loves it. We have been so impressed with John and the incredibly talented coaches. We are in awe of their ability to teach children of all ages in such a fun, respectable manner. Coach Chris has an incredible ability to hold the attention span of small children during class while also keeping the lessons engaging and entertaining. He is truly talented as that is not an easy feat! Our son has learned so much in such a small amount of time , and is so eager to take what he has learned at class and show his family at home. We have seen an increase in his self confidence (typically he is introverted and more on the shy side), and a steady eagerness to learn more and climb the ranks.
