Home is home. The lake is the cleanest in the area besides Mombasha lake. There are trout, large&small mouth bass, sun fish or pumpkins in red yellow n blue, rock bass, perch, eels, muscles, turtles, catfish, snapping turtles, herring, mallard ducks, loone&bald eagles to see in the winter, the wildlife is abundant still. If ur lucky you will see a muskrat. The fish are safe to eat! Chester gets their water from the lake. There are only 2public docks. 1 is infront the County store where anyone can fish/swim. The other at monarchas is a boat ramp. WASH UR BIAT HULLS N BOARDS B4 PUTTING IN LAKE! We have no water chestnuts to choke the lake out. Keep it clean! No invasive plants either! Lake at deepest is 280 in center. NO GAS MOTORS OR BOATS! ONLY ELECTRIC IS PERMITTED!!! U can park at the legion or down at the lake. PLEASE PICK UP ALL GARBAGE AND DISPOSE PROPERLY! THANK YOU! Now that summer is over locals can enjoy the amenity again. The crowds you flicked there over the summer was awful. Using private property to steal into the lake. Cannot believe they were not moved on. This invasion by out of towers needs...

People have we're wind it for the locals that enjoy fishing . The days of pulling over to fish are over. Outsiders have come by and ruined it, making it a mess. Leaving garbage behind and not picking up...
