
Visiting friends on a Friday in April, they took us for a walk before going out to dinner. We heard of Thacher State Park but it was our first time there. We parked at the Thacher State Park Overlook which was mostly empty on a Friday in April. We walked from the Overlook to John Boyd Thacher State Park Visitor Center. There are amazing views along this walk. Since it was April there were only a few other people walking. It was a two mile easy walk. Next time I hope to explore more of the park.
The park has lots of picnic tables. The visitor center has an EV charger with two J1172 plugs at 7.2kW. It uses EVConnect. Every park should have EV charging. I’m sure it’s used often...
