Tops Markets — Local services in Town of Newfane

I have shopped at this tops for years and have never experienced any issues but tonight my two friends and I who are 15 year old minors went to this establishment at around 8pm to go get a few snacks for a sleepover. We were deeply disturbed when one of the older male managers began to follow us around. No, we were not stealing, nor were we causing a raucous, we were simply walking around trying to figure out what snacks to buy, the man began to follow us around and intensely stare at us. We figured this was just a normal manager walking around until he began to follow us down isles and around the entire store, hiding behind shelves and racks and staring at us. We then quickly just grabbed a few snacks, and went straight to the checkout area. The man stood there and made DIRECT eye contact with us while standing there staring at us. We bought our snacks and left. When we got home we immediately explained to our mother what had happened, and she called them and asked for the manager. She spoke with him and he was dumb founded, stuttering and all. He stated he was detailing the store and that he had someone talk to us and ask if we needed help with anything, which did not happen. A certain person in a certain department litterally admitted not wanting to work there and didn't like the job (why should anyone EVER say this to a customer? I didnt even ask you about your job!). Couldn't answer any of my questions and didn't seem to know much for having been employed there for "years". One guy stocking shelves was helpful and friendly (much appreciated!). There were two male cashiers, very rude and unprofessional. The gal overseeing them had to tell them to knock off their behavior. Stopped to order a custom cake for my wife's birthday, and our anniversary, on January 1st! Met with a man at the deli counter who took me order and helped with suggestions, and even went so far as to set up a meeting between the person who is actually going to make the cake on order to go over the details. He was very helpful and went out of his way to help me make this special for my wonderful wife after a very hard year! I would recommend this market for everyday shopping, and even more, if you need a custom cake made just the way YOU want it done!
