Please do not give this Unimart any of your business. I am a traveling nurse who was heading home to Niagara County on Friday and found myself stuck in the middle of the monster snowstorm. The owner refused to let me stay inside his store. He told me to “ you go outside to your car” I bought some water and food and went back to my car. The snow was turning my car into a tomb. My husband found a B & B 1.5 miles down the road from this Unimart. There was no way I could drive, visibility was zero. I asked a patron who was driving a truck to please take me to safety, he agreed. I pleaded with the owner of the Unimart to let me leave my car ANYWHERE on his lot that was out of the way, he refused. I told him I cannot see to even drive my car out your parking lot. I asked “please can I park my car on the side of your building, in the back, please there must be somewhere i can park it”. He said “No, the plow has to do my entire lot, you cannot leave it anywhere here”. I even offered to pay to park my car.. I was desperate and scared. I begged and pleaded with him to please let the person kind enough to bring me to safety do so. After what seemed like an eternity, he finally said okay.
