We stopped here on our way home today because of all the cafe signs along the freeway and figured it was worth a look.
The good: -Very kind staff -Clean -Some interesting exhibits (Kinetic sand, topography map!) -Great gift shop
The not as good: -Expensive for the amount to do in the center, and if you are only there for a short time/miss the farm tour. (However, I didn't mind because it goes to a good cause, but I did see a lot of folks leave because of it.) -No changing tables in bathrooms, at least up in the exhibit area, which is disappointing for a new facility geared at families. -The separate, cafe hours were not posted anywhere obvious when we came in (not on entry doors), so we missed our opportunity for actual food by an hour and had to go elsewhere. Had we known they don't serve until 5:00, we would have done the center second. Make sure to check the website, not the doors!
Obviously, it is still very new, so hopefully some little changes will be made! We...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCafe is open again! Made a trip back now that the cafe is open again. Homemade chicken noodle soup, yum! Food was great as always. Dustin, the chef, really does a nice job. Just like every other place they are short on staff so please be patient, itās worth it. Of course we finished things off with ice cream too. š
My daughter and I also went through the exhibits and checked out the cows š in the birthing barn since itās been over a year since she was there. There have been a few play areas added so the little kiddos can play if the adults prefer to spend more time with the exhibits. Of course the popular kinetic sand station is still there. Also a little pretend grocery checkout station and toy tractors in the silo.
The facility is very spacious and open, bathrooms are clean and there are at least six bathrooms in the main facility to choose from. It was also nice to see antibacterial gel...
Ā Ā Ā Read more2 and under are free and Adults are $16 itās a super fun place to take your little ones. It can be expensive if you take the whole family so plan accordingly. There is a cafe with food and drinks and a gift shop. I recommend avoiding those areas $$ but the entire building an experience. We went during an alpaca and llama expo and it was awesome. I have two kids and nanny for two more and i enjoy taking them after breakfast to play and explore. Our favorites include the kinetic sand, tractor simulator, and the birthing center but remember shhhhh⦠itās a quiet time for the mama cows. They also have a corn pit to play in and so many more educational activities. I didnāt look into it too hard but I do recommend getting a family pass if you have kids older than two and plan on coming a lot. Itās around $145 per year depending family size. Check it out on...
