So, when Denny's was owned by Denny Suave it was the only place we'd take our vehicles. Denny would go out of his way to save his customers money while still safely repairing their vehicle. He was the kind of mechanic you felt blessed to know. Trustworthy. We moved up north and are now back in the area. We had a squeaky belt and a slight shake in the steering wheel at high speeds. The new mechanic at Dennys recommended $500 in engine repairs to remedy the squeaky belt and 4 new tires for the shaking saying the back tires were showing wire. I thought this was strange since we had looked the tires over before taking it in. When I told them to go ahead with the engine work but to hold off on the tires there was suddenly a new part that needed to be replaced and our new total was $625 for the squeaky belt repair. I'm now at Walmart of all places for a 2nd opinion on the tires and was just told the tires are in good condition and the shaking is more than likely just a balance and rotation issue. These are the facts. You do with them what you will when deciding whether or not to take you vehicle to the new...
Read moreI brought my 2013 BOSS 302 into this shop about a year ago, had diagnostic done for transmission/shift linkage problem (under aftermarket warranty) had them check all fluids especially transmission fluid after a noise has occured. (Which is low) They didn't check any fluids did not even touch the car. The transmission plug did not move the old marker spot is still in the same spot. I also realizing that a whopping 50 miles was gone off of my mileage till empty. The shop had claimed that the noise was a "normal Mustang noise" and after hearing terrible experiences from my friends, and finally looking at my car I would not recommend anyone to this shop. Since I cannot reply I've since had to replace clutch, pilot bearing, throw out bearing, and 50 miles to find the noise when it's typical "Mustang noise" just alone the 50miles made me not come back.. and as for the fluid check it was noted down, and it was also claimed my car also was droven up to 70mph. Which is no biggie. But the car...

I went to Denny’s for a second opinion. The battery was under warranty and the brakes were not an issue. Denny’s saved me almost $700! Because of the debacle with the dealership, I will likely buy a gently used car instead of a new car when the time comes, that way I can have it serviced at Denny’s instead of dealing with a warranty at a dealership. I absolutely love their honesty and that they don’t up sell needless services and products....
