We walked into this place, not thinking much of it, but the second we walked through the door, we were taken aback by how massive this place was.

The size wasn't what kept us, though. The inventory hit all the right notes. Neat stones, polished and coarse of all sizes and varieties (they have purple labradorite, which is SUPER hard to find), all manner of themes for tarot cards, incense, burners, glass pipes, and my absolute favorite: Board Games!! Not just run-of-the-mill games like Catan or Ticket to Ride, but honest to goodness games youd normally find in a dedicated game shop like Arkham Horror. Forgotten Waters, Mice and Mystics, and a plethora of others that kept me looking for hidden gems. They've got some Dungeons and Dragon campaign modules there, a bunch of Magic the Gathering boosters, Pokemon cards. Truely a nerds trove!

Peter, the owner, was SUPER welcoming and is a really laid back fella. But what i really took from him was his passion for what he does. Very very knowledgeable of all the stones that were there and all the games he has hes either played or has heard noting but good things about! But if there's one thing i want to push, it's his plan to make a dedicated board gaming space. Otego and the surrounding hamlets need more places for people of similar ilk to gather and just mellow out!

TL:DR Visit this store. It deserves all the business you can give it. Even if youre just browsing, it deserves...

Great spot for Pokémon, Magic, and tabletop games near Oneonta with really good parking!

Sun Moon and Earth is a well-stocked and beautifully organized metaphysical shop just minutes from Oneonta, NY. The front of the shop features a wide selection of stones, tarot and oracle cards, incense, jewelry, books, and more.

But the hidden gem is in the back, a dedicated card and game store that sells Pokémon cards, Magic: The Gathering cards, board games, and other tabletop essentials. It’s one of the best places near Oneonta to shop for TCG (trading card game) players and collectors.

Even better, the owner is building a strong local gaming community. They’re planning regular events, including:

Other tabletop gaming meetups

This place is dangerous for folks that work with crystals, in that a literal 2/3s of this shop has dedicated floor space to them. I love shiny gems and rocks on principle and it took an astronomical amount of self-discipline to keep from dropping several pieces into my basket lmao. If you need gem chips for spell bottles, altar work, offerings, etc, they do have a build-your-own chip bottle for $5 a pop for as many as you can fit into one (or several, go nuts!).

They do also offer incense, tarot and oracle decks, and a lovely wall of loose-leaf/powdered/whole herbs and roots. Jewelry, ranging from professionally-set pieces and wire-wrapped creations, are also available. And that still doesn't cover all they offer!

I drove all the way down from the Utica area just to check them out, and I was genuinely delighted by the sheer variety offered! They're deeply worth a visit, if for nothing else...
