Tioga Gardens — Local services in Town of Owego

We hired Tioga Gardens' landscaping team to come install a new french drain for us behind an existing fence. We had problems with water making our side yard mucky and unusable for our kids.

To add the necessary drainage and make the drain do what it is meant to meant that they would need to remove a ton of material behind the fence, including reshaping the hill. The problem was that there was hardly any space to work in. This was no problem for them. They brought the right team with the right equipment and got the job done extremely professionally. They did a beautiful job and most importantly, the french drain works perfectly and our kids once again have a dry yard to play in! They reseeded the lawn that was affected by the work and just a few weeks later you would never know they were there at all.

I wanted to look and see the varieties here and comparison with a few others I’d been to recently. There’s a really snarky guy working here, he’s the overgrown string bean who was very condescending about our interest in standard trees. Thankfully, another man working there was delightful. I wouldn’t have bought anything but they had a rhododendron in the color I wanted. I couldn’t get over how rude that first, lanky guy was. Definitely not buying my fruit trees here! Walking around things look nice until just before the glass dome they have, everything smells like cat pee right at the back space leading up to the dome. We held our breath running back out the whole way. It was a strong concentrated scent. The three stars is only that high due to the second guy being great and a lady who helped us...

I came to NY from CA to visit grandkids. My daughter took me here. OMGoodness .. what a beautiful nusery. The dome area with the Koi fish is so peaceful & relaxing. I got 5 plants to fly home w me and 2 I there for my daughter. Wasn't sure if I would be allowed to fly my new plants home with me. Got em anyway though...... Googled it & I'm super happy.... cause it's allowed!!..Woo hoo they are going to be beautiful in my Northern CA home!!.. when I come back in April..... I'll visit this...
