The old man ranger at the first tee needs to go seek therapy and anger management, what an unhinged human being.
We had a 10 and 10:07 (or something) AM tee time for 2 groups of 4.
And I'll own this one, one of the 8 guys was "late" as in was paying for his round at 10AM. Yes, he should have been here earlier, but no big deal we have two groups... the first group can go make the 10AM tee time he'll roll with the second group.
It's not even 10AM yet and the first group of us head toward the first tee while the other group gets ready and this old man ranger starts GOING OFF on us. Literally yelling about how we are late and how we're costing the club money and how we're ruining everyone's day at the golf course. Mind you it's about 9:59 when we should be at the tee box and this guy is holding us up to literally harass us, then goes off again when he hears we have 1 guy left who has to go pay for his round EVEN THOUGH HE'S IN THE SECOND GROUP.
So after he's done pontificating we get to the tee box where, no joke, another group is there still waiting on the group ahead of them. At this point our second group is ready and gets up to the tee box so there are 12 people at this tee box queued up.
The old man comes up to us AGAIN and starts yelling at us. Somebody had a bottle of water, it's gotta go. Seriously? Yes, it's gotta go, put it back in your car. But sir you just yelled at us about being late this will hold us up. Nope, water has to go back to the car. Fine.
Guy comes back from putting the bottle of water in his car and the group in front of us is finally teeing off. The old man is quiet but as soon as they're done he starts going off AGAIN.
He sees that I have a bucket of balls in the back of the cart and starts asking me where I got the bucket and balls. I tell him I've had this bucket for 15 years and I fill it with golf balls I find in the woods behind my house. He doesn't believe me, he starts implying that I stole it from Eaglevale even though the bucket looks nothing like the buckets they have at the range, and the balls aren't even range balls. So I tell him again, no this is MY bucket and he goes "so you stole it from A range" once again accusing me of something I didn't do. So I asked him if there's something he'd like me to do with the bucket or could we please tee off because now HE is holding US up. So he shuts up.
Finally we tee off stressed as hell because of this guy. Finish the hole, get to the second tee.
LO AND BEHOLD WHO IS DRIVING UP BEHIND US AT THE SECOND TEE THE UNHINGED OLD RANGER. My man, shouldn't you be policing the first tee?
He starts AGAIN to go off on us about having been late to the first tee and starts winding up to harass us and my friend loses it and yell "sir, are you going to harass us the entire day?!" and suddenly the guy got really quiet, sort of apologized and drove away.
Now you might be thinking, there HAS to be some other side to the story right? We were doing something wrong? Aside from the 1 guy in the second group showing up later (oh and the water bottle) we did nothing to piss this guy off, it's like he was looking to have an argument. Just wild.
To finish up this whole experience, remember that we had a 10AM tee time which we actually made. We didn't get to tee off until probably 10:15. We all had somewhere to be at 3PM
We were only at the 12th hole by the time it was 2PM. We wound up having to pick up our balls and leave the course not even finishing 18 because they jam-pack their tee off schedule so tightly AND harass the paying customers holding them up further.
What a horrible experience with a horrible person at a horrible course. Never...

Being a 27 year old I love to walk courses any chance I get, not only because of the exercise but because it's always been cheaper. On Eagle Vales website it literally explains "walking is permitted anytime on the weekends". So I get to the club house at 6:45am and I explain I'm playing 18 and I'm walking. The gentleman told me it'd be $55, but normally because I'm walking it's $45. The gentleman explained to me that on Sundays, you pay full price no matter if you're walking or riding. I'm hoping for some explanation because this makes no sense to me whatsoever. I've been golfing a long time and I've never heard of this before. So I'd suggest for anyone looking to walk because it's cheaper... Don't go here on Sundays. Seems...
Read moreEagle Vale was the perfect venue for our wedding and reception! Karen and the rest of the staff was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. They worked with us on a few things that we wanted to do that were a little out of the norm (I surprised my husband by renting a pool table for the reception). The food was excellent. People are still commenting to us about the food and it was a week ago. We just wish we hadn’t been so preoccupied with socialized and had eaten more of the appetizers. Also, even though the ballroom is large and can accommodate a few hundred people, it was perfect for our 100 guests. The layout never made it feel too big, but actually gave it a nice flow for those who wanted to dance, sit and chat, hang out around the bar, and/or play pool. I would definitely...
