Clinton County Fair — Local services in Town of Plattsburgh

The Fair is actually decent for a small town fair. It really depends if you're going for the kids or as an adult just to have fun. It's not huge, but the wristbands are worth it for the kids to go have some fun and spend their day riding rides. Being 100% honest though.. We actually decided to go with just us adults and my 17 year old son, so we skipped the rides and chose to do the monster truck show instead for the first time. And we "were" so excited!.... I now wish we had just got the wristbands and done the rides all day instead. 🤷🏻‍♀️.. We basically paid $35.50 per person to watch an hour long (total) event of 4 monster trucks taking their turns doing timed trial runs, a few wheelies, and a freestyle run ( one truck at a time). Oh, and they threw in a few basic quad/4 wheeler races in between the trucks doing their shows. No disrespect to the drivers, their trucks, or the quad racers. The trucks are awesome and the drivers, and quad racers are great too. Much respect to them 🙌... BUT- In all honesty the tickets are WAY overpriced for the length of the show and what it is. I've definitely been to better events for much less. They really need to lower the price in the future, or put together a longer, better show. So, in conclusion do yourself a favor and save your money on the monster truck...

OK at best. We couldn't find any good food anywhere. It's $8 to get in. Another $7 to see the tractor pulls. You're supposed to make donations to use the bathroom but the bathroom doors don't even have locks. The animals looked like they were VERY unhappy standing or laying in a boiling hot barn. Bunnies for sale to whoever will pay. Most exciting thing I saw was this cute family, sleeping and these shirts (pictured). Not only is it a waste of money but they had anti abortion groups, many religious groups, a chip truck called the "Democratic Party of Plattsburg" because fries and hotdogs have political association, gun raffles, anti abortionists, military recruitment and more. The military guys were letting little tiny kids handle massive guns. (I know they're unloaded) What the hell? It's a county fair. These issues should not be front and center. I'll never ever ever go back! On top of that, tractor pulls had so many delays and technical difficulties. I wouldnt recommend bothering with it. Head to Montreal for "Just for laughs" festival instead. Very 'Merica and not the GREAT parts of...

This years fair was not that great! It seems to be getting worse. The megapass (entry and rides)was a great deal!There were a lot of rides (about 13) for small children/toddlers this year but There wasnt as many for older kids (about 7) but 2 of those rides were not working the whole time and 2 others were breaking down needing time to be fixed or were only being filled half capacity cuz of malfunctions. The was carnie so high on drugs they were nodding out in front of everyone, kids included! Nobody seemed to care or do anything about it. I saw other parents complaining about carnies not buckling kids in or even checking to be sure kids were hooked properly. I know it's been a Rough year for everyone but come on!! Those are major issues! The monster truck show was super over priced! We went saturday and only saw an hour long show that was not worth the 25$ per person!!!
