I was at Lily Dale today, with my cousin, my 14 year old daughter & her friend. My daughterâs friend was immediately âspoken toâ about wearing a small back pack under the guise that she may knock something over. Yes, apparently we missed the sign on the front door. Fine, get it. We quietly browsed the store, my daughter & her friend decided they each wanted a loose stone. Again, the women working there spoke to them and âsuggestedâ they use the baskets for their stone. We get to the register & my daughter placed her stone on the counter, the clerk looked at her friend & asked if she had one too- as she was setting her stone down. Mind you, the store was packed with people, why were WE being given so much attention? At no point were the 2 âchildrenâ I was responsible for more than a foot away from me. As I paid for the two stones & walked out of the store, all four of us felt the same. We were being targeted because my daughterâs friend happens to be African American. It was disgustingly obvious that we were being watched. Now I see here, it was in...
Read moreI keep going back as if something will change, but Iâm always disappointed. Prices are ridiculous for a bunch of mass produced items. Jewelry is beautiful, but overpriced for a bunch of sterling silver with affordable stones. Book prices donât compete with online bookstores (which is true at most brick and mortar stores to be fair). I only ever buy things from the sale section or cheap things like incense. They donât have a cash register so they still write paper receipts which takes forever and causes congestion in the store when itâs busy. Theyâre also paranoid about shoplifting which would be nearly impossible given itâs such a small store always packed with employees. They treat everyone like a criminal the second they walk in to the store. The employees are knowledgeable about the jewelry but itâs no better than any...
Read moreLet's start with an honest review: The store is in the middle of Lilydale and, during peek season, sees thousands of people a day. There will always be bad apples that ruin it for everyone else, and shoplifting causes small businesses tons of money. While I'm not a jewelry person, there are many nice pieces to choose from and a wide selection of oracle cards, journals, cards, books, incense, etc. Jana and her staff were more than helpful this past weekend when my group (Insight Training from FOTS) was in there buying jewelry "gorge" đ and more. I absolutely think her selection is well put together and...
