Had a super disappointing experience today at this location. The internet went down, so they were only taking cash. Not only did they not announce this to shoppers, they didn’t apologize for the inconvenience. I opted to leave my cart and grab cash from an ATM. When I returned, there was no offer for a discount on my order. I asked if the manager could offer a small discount or something for my inconvenience and she said “it’s not our fault because spectrum went out everywhere.” They couldn’t even offer a coupon for a future visit. I was prepared to spend $90, but was so dissatisfied that I put back many items. I was really taken aback there was no consideration to customers who this had inconvenienced.
I have been super loyal to this location, often driving all the way up from Glendale to shop here instead of places closer to me. I was also disappointed with the new layout, which makes the store feel crowded. I actually chose to shop this store today because I could shop for kids clothes while my son explored the toys right next to child, but the store was rearranged so I couldn’t do this.
The prices are also very expensive-I could not believe they were selling a used pair of clip on earrings for 9.99. This store used to have phenomenal prices but now it’s more expensive than goodwill.
It’s a shame because I work at a university and I often recommend to many students who love thrifting that they take a day trip to this location for the amazing shopping experience-I will no longer be doing that and will be re-evaluating where I...
Read moreUsed to love this place until our most recent visit. We stopped in at 4:45 and when we walked in the door the man with long grey hair came up to us and said we had 3 minutes to shop. At 4:55 he shut the lights off on us and told us "we are closed now. I told you you before, now you really need to get out." I checked the time on my phone and it read 4:55. I then said "sir, I thought you close at 5?" He said "we do, and we are closed now so it's time for you to leave." At the register my girlfriend put down the cookie cutter that she was buying and with the man standing by, the cashier asked if that was all. When our response was "yes," the man scoffed, shook his head, and said "wow" under his breath. I was astonished at how rude someone could be in a "Christian" establishment. At 4:59, we were checked out and leaving. I showed the cashier the satellite time on my phone so she could see we were out before 5. I am just extremely disgusted in the terrible customer service that man gave us. Aside from being terribly rude and losing a fairly regular customer, he made an absolute fool of himself and did a poor job of representing the...
Read moreI have nothing but great things to say about this place. I love the store! There's always stuff in there that I find for cheap! Some things can be a little pricey but for the most part they are very reasonable. They help out the community more than people know believe that. I recently made the choice to move this way and start over. Having 2 kids and not a whole lot to start over with, I asked them for help. They were great, very generous, understanding, and kind. They gave me a brand new queen bed set, 2 nice dressers, a couch, and a voucher to shop for items I needed for my home. I was able to get a nice lamp, pots and pans, dishes, cooking utensils, etc. Then they let me have an almost brand new Columbia winter coat for my son and a few other things. They didn't stop there, but I don't want to get into everything. I am so grateful for the help I was given, and am looking for ways to pay it forward. This is a great organization, I will always have much...
