Horrible customer service! The guy I spoke with on the phone was so rude, that I decided to take my business elsewhere.

I was looking to get rid of several items, car parts including tires and rims, exhaust, a plastic fuel tank, and a truck seat, as well as an old hot tub. The village of Grafton website mentioned Port Recycling as an option for "larger items." So, I called to find out what they would and wouldn't take. I asked a lot of questions because I had no idea what they took. This clearly frustrated the guy. He was rude and did not want to be helpful. When I asked about specific items, he kept saying "we take metal." He eventually told me I could bring other items, but if they weren't metal, they would have to charge me. They wouldn't take the hot tub...that's ok, I understand. How about tires? No...ok, I get it...they require special disposal. But you'll take rims, right? "As long as they don't have tires on them." Duh, does he think I'm an idiot? He just told me "no" to tires. How about the car seat? "Yes, but I'll have to charge you.". Ok, about how much? "I can't tell you, you'll have to bring it over.". It's a bench seat from a pick up truck, you can't even give me some idea of how much you'll charge? He said, maybe $5 bucks, we'd have to see it, and he hung up! Yikes! They won't get...

Most of the reviews are right, the guys there are nice to you. However I just brought about 80 pounds of clean copper, 60 brass/copper mix/30 straight brass/ then a bunch of random brass, copper with soilder on it. I have separated scrap for years, I know what I'm doing. They kept pulling out from the clean and saying it was dirty and it wasn't. When they put my clean copper on the scale, they then tell me to move my truck outside, I said in a minute I would like to see the weight. It was a big deal that I wanted to see the weight. I got about half as much as if I would have taken it to waukesha iron. The one guy seemed to know what he was doing, the others kept grabbing the buckets before they hit the scale and moving them.
