Letchworth State Park is absolutely breathtaking and well worth the visit!

I hiked the around the Lower Falls area with my boyfriend last Saturday, which was gorgeous and easy to explore with stunning views. After our hike, we stopped at the Lower Falls Restaurant - we both ordered burgers, and they were delicious, perfectly cooked, and served on fresh rolls.

To top it off, we tried the gem-mining activity right outside the restaurant. We purchased the Emerald Strike bag and had so much fun sifting through the mix to uncover real gemstones we got to keep. It was a unique and memorable experience that added a playful twist to our day at the park.

Highly recommend a visit to the Lower Falls for the scenery,...

Lower Falls of Letchworth in the Fall Splendor. Genesee River and Lower Falls at the Letchworth State Park, New York (NY), USA. This is actually my favorite falls in the park... beautiful views either up close or downstream by the stone bridge looking up the gorge. If the trail is open make sure you cross the bridge and hike up to the top of the canyon and walk back upstream on the rim back towards Middle falls. This can be busy during high summer months and in October but generally the rest of the year it's nice and quiet. The B-loop cabins are...

The park is so big it's nearly impossible to explore the entire thing. I recommend spending a long weekend or a week if possible. Its incredible, a lot of easy hiking trails, and some that are a bit more intense. The canyon is breathtaking. The wildlife, fresh air, peacefulness makes you feel like you are in a completely different world.

Prepare to get wet!!! Trail has some stairs down to the gorge so if you have knee problems exercise caution when going! You will get to the viewing area and the mist from the falls will cool you off!The view is very beautiful but there is a lot of mud around due to the humidity!
