I started ordering from Big Spoon in 2021 during the latter part of the Pandemic. I particularly liked the variety of foods offered using local products, the simplicity of the online ordering process, the pick up or delivery option, the packaging of my order, and the kindness of the people preparing the food. I have since continued ordering freshly made foods on an almost weekly basis while also using the freezer option to pick up some of my favorite items. Food options always include vegan, gluten free, and or low fat choices in case your household has these needs. Big Spoon Kitchen saved my life! Especially during the pandemic. Every week, their delicious and nutritious soups, salads, entrees and desserts, in addition to locally made products and specialty foods, are a weekly gift to our community. We can be assured that the flavors and aromas are from quality ingredients, most of them local, and are crafted with attention and care by local chefs. It's important to me to know that my food dollars are supporting local agriculture and provide employment for local youth so that they can live and work in the North Country. I am also aware of all the volunteer work and donations that Big Spoon owners and staff give to local community organizations. I tried the Big Spoon almost two years ago after some disappointing meals from a couple of restaurants and have become a weekly regular. They have a revolving menu so you get different choices each week. They offer locally sourced ingredients prepared in flavorful ways. Everyone is very approachable and responsive. I am always excited to see what their weekly choices are. They also have a freezer section so I can get some previous favorites and defrost them when I do not want to cook. Prices are reasonable and quantities are just right. I am grateful for them as they are a great option when you need something yummy that you don't want to make yourself or a break from cooking.
