I will never again donate my unwanted goods anymore!!! I was donating clothes and golf clubs a nice set . I just have no use for them up here. We had been donating clothes and other items for years there and never had been treated so horribly as we were this last time there. As we were finishing up unloading our car, a tall, skinny, older man with white hair and glasses came running out of the store screaming at hollering at us. .. we got in our car to leave and he steps in front of my car and starts banging on the hood, screaming and demanding to search my car! I, obviously, said no....like really?? We just donated hundreds of dollars worth of stuff and that's how we're treated?! When he finally stepped off to the side so we could leave, he literally tried opening the driver's side door....I'm guessing to try to stop us from driving away....luckily our car doors lock automatically when its put into gear! Was he actually going to try and pull me out of my moving car if the door was unlocked??? We have never been treated so disrespectfully in our lives until this incident. If a person is going to behave like that, he definitely shouldn't be working somewhere that deals with other people! My wife suffers from anxiety and PTSD and she's was extremely terrified by him and it took her several days to leave our home afterwards. Needless to say, we no longer support the salvation...
Read moreNever believe the prices of the stickers listed on items. I went into this exact location today amd found a lovely item prices at $6.00 or so I thought. I got my items to check out (I had two other items) the lady at check out proceeds to tell me someone either changed the sticker or put the wrong price on the item bc she put the item out and it's supposed to be priced at $30 dollars. Mind you that is a big difference in price. Rather than offering it for the price it was on the floor for. They told me they'd sell it to me for 20 dollars or it can go back on the floor for 30.
This item was something my family needed. And I broke down crying because how can a business just decide once it's at checkout that it's worth more than the snickered price? Thank God for this very very kind women who purchased this item for me because I could not afford that price. I'm beyond grateful for you and still a crying mess.
To the employees. Do better. Don't tell your customers it's this or it can go back. When it's not my fault the item was priced wrong. I have shopped here for years and today was by far the rudest employees I've ever met at this location. I will be back once more to pay forward my 20 dollars. Aside from that I will not spend...
Read moreI have stopped at the Salvation Army Thrift Store last week when it was very hot out and this week as well. I made it a short trip as it was unbearably HOT in there. I felt so bad for the employees who were clearly so uncomfortable and sweating. I was told they were told by Albany that they have to keep the AC on 70. It honestly did not feel as if it was even on. I heard other customers who left without buying anything because it was so sweltering in there. The Salvation Army really needs to do better for their employees. They wonder why they can not keep good help. The employees themselves are very nice and helpful. It is to bad that they are not being treated better by the higher ups
I am not sure what is going on with the store the last couple of months, but it is falling apart. It is messy, clothes are constantly in the wrong places. No, this is not other customers just leaving things where ever they feel like it. These are large groups of women's jeans that are in the men's jeans. It is apparent that the new employees are not being...
