Hidden Gem! Rensselaerville Falls is 120 feet in height! The trails to the falls are mostly easy to hike and offer very good views of the falls. To see the bottom of the falls just get out of your vehicle, and walk a tenth of a mile and you’re there. You can also hike to the middle of the falls and top of the falls. Check the trail map before you go in and the trails to the different parts of the falls are well marked and easy to follow. At both the top and bottom of the falls there are wooden bridges to view the falls. Make sure to see the remains of the old felt mill alongside the trails. Parking area for the falls has room for about 10 vehicles. On busy days the lot will fill up. There is also a small visitor center there. Altogether, there are about 12 miles of trails that can be accessed by parking at the falls. Most people just go to the falls though. Overall, this hike offers easy access to a beautiful waterfall. After you cross the wooden bridge, the path splits into a lower trail and an upper trail. The lower trail is short and flat. The upper trail takes about 15 mins each way, but is very worth it. There is another bridge up top, so you can admire the falls from either side of the hill.
