I've been using Amtrak out of necessity for the past 15 years. After I got stranded on a train on Thanksgiving in 2018 for more than 10 hours the company didn't make any sort of reparations. We were offered a little bag with a couple crackers in it and 6 flluid oz. of water... after sitting for 10 hours. 10; all the while being told we were going to be leaving in 10 minutes. Despite clearly being screwed over by Amtrak they still had horrible customer service. Your train will be delayed and there's nothing you can do about it. Worst yet the customer service is horrendous and will leave you feeling like you have no voice. This station is usually quite peaceful and nice but there is construction happening now and there is only seating outside and in the “foyer” area to the platform.
A little note. If traveling to NYC try to book a train that originates from Albany. They are more on time than the trains originating from Niagara Falls (#280).
Those with mobility issues will find it to difficult to board and disembark the train.
The view is beautiful from the platform but is bitter cold in the winter months.
Parking is limited so...
