We could not be happier with our experience! We had an old Ethan Allen chair that was still so comfortable, but had been destroyed by time and cats! Every time I looked at buying a new chair, I just knew there was more life in our old comfortable one. Michael brought our old chair back to life! He took the time to really care for this project! I truly feel that the time and the money spent were absolutely worth it. This was a new experience for us… we have always gotten used or bought new furniture. It did take several months and we emailed back and forth a bit. I learned how busy the business is right now… in a next day Amazon world, we had to remind ourselves that not everything is overnight :) If you are trying to decide whether to buy something new or invest the time and money in an old cherished piece, I highly recommend going for it and trusting Michael with the work! Words that accurately describe my experience at Michael's Upholstery: Craftsman, Artisan, Amazing, Outstanding Quality, Great material (fabric, leather, and hardware) selection. Michael produces heirloom quality upholstery, I don't frequently give references, but I would refer Michael!!! Keep in mind that Michael does NOT mass produce, and do not expect fast turn around times. Expect a quality result that will last for many, many years. Don’t bother taking anything in for him to work on. He is so far behind that he will not give any idea when your item might be completed. He has had my small project for 6 months and no end on sight.
