Schroon Lake Marina — Local services in Town of Schroon

This place is awesome. The people are extremely knowledgeable , personal, friendly & professional. I had 1 issue with my boat & broke down as a fault of a bad fuel valve. One call the schroon lake marina & they came to get me & I was an hour & a half away. They came like fireman Professionally & assured me they would take care of me & my boat. Well they did !! One day it was solved & they delivered it back to me along with doing many extra things like doing the first maintenance on it at no charge. I had a fee minor things they also did at no charge. From Jake who came to pick up my boat to Craig who took my distress call the girl who promptly answered my call & relayed me to someone that would expedite my issue to the service dept that did everything to make me happy & get my boat back. What an amazing experience. They men & women are absolutely wonderful. I will never go anywhere else to purchase a boat or get any boating needs . I traveled passed many marinas to buy a boat because I heard so many great things about this place & boy I couldn't be happier with my decision. Alot of people want to buy close to home but trust me when I tell u this place is worth the trip. Their as close as your phone & they will be their 4 u like a firefighter. Our family gathers from areas across the US in the Adirondack's to vacation for one week a year. We had other years rented a "party boat" for a day to cruise Schroon Lake with a picnic and to enable the granchildren to jump off the boat. We had called Schroon Lake Marina in the middle of the week to rent a boat for the following friday. We were told they do not take reservations for any day, first come to their place of business, first serve. We walked a trail close to the Marina and stopped in to see if we paid fully one day ahead could we get the boat for the next day, friday July 3rd? The woman at the computer screen behind the counter said she had one left and yes, we could pay for it today and pick it up at 9am and have it till 5pm. My son got his credit card out and she then says: "Oh, wait! we don't have anything available they are all reserved. I said we werte told there were no resevations: arrive and pay was the policy. She then stated: " a lot of the people who work there don't know what they are doing as far as rentals are concerned". The management of the "family business" is chaotic and not at all consumer focused. I've been through your place and tried to rent some equipment so I could have a nice day on the lake and you all were so condescending you put a terrible bitter taste in my mouth and I do not think that anybody should frequent such a business like yours it's unfortunate that people like you talk to nice people such as myself and my wife I wish there were another place that I could have gone that day but luckily Pickens had very great specials that day I'm sure that Aubrey and Alice would have looked at you with what the hell looks on their faces.
