My wife and I are long time Costco members. After moving to Eau Claire WI for work we were happy to learn of a new warehouse opening in Eau Claire. Today (1-20-24) my wife went to shop for our regular items as Costco. My wife asked to use my Costco credit card as she couldn’t find hers. I said that’s fine. She does need to find her card or order a new one. The credit card and membership is in her name, I’m just an authorized user. She went and at check out was made to feel like a criminal by the cashier and supervisor. My wife overheard the supervisor degrading my wife and accusing her of being a criminal. Since my wife does not have the same last name as me they assumed she had stolen my card. My wife pulled up her membership on her phone App. They didn’t like that as the number was different, however every member has their own unique number. She even offered to pay with our visa debit card. Instead of just looking us up in your system she was made to feel like a criminal in public as my wife heard the supervisor degrading my wife and acting like police accusing her of a crime. My wife was distraught when she arrived home. I understand the importance of having valid memberships, and how that is important to your operational income and model of business. It’s been well documented in news articles, and business journals. However, there is something that is more important. That’s being kind to others. Nobody should be made to feel like a criminal just for trying to check out at a retail establishment, and especially loyal customers who forgot their card. Nobody should be treated like that. Never has my wife ever been treated so poorly at a retail store, let alone Costco. I love Costco, but I must say I’m very disappointed in the company and the Eau...

Who in there right mind split dairy into 4 spots. I can tell you who some good grifters. Looking back maybe I saved 5 bucks on some coffee. But it's not worth the labyrinth of consumption and disappointment. Where the heck is your cheese anyway? Separated into 4 different spots around the store? No I'm not dealing with that at all.
Next the bagels who decided to make them 2 for one always? First off its 2 for 2 that's 3.50 each and that doesn't seem like such a deal after toasting one up and it doesn't have a bagel texture, more of a stale wonderbread in my opinion.
Can you refund my new membership? If not that's okay. It was just christmas money anyway.
Growing up we shopped here and no wonder why my parents never had time or money....
Read moreI appreciate how they compensate, treat, and retain employees, but their cafe is severely lacking. After my order of multiple slices of cheese pizza and hotdogs was neglected despite watching numerous people after me receive their orders with hotdogs or cheese pizza, I approached some employees near the cafe and asked to cancel. They asked why and I explained the issue and was told that they wouldn't produce my order until it was full, in other words if someone else ordered hotdogs before my pizza was done, they would give those hotdogs to a later customer. Repeat this with pizza and you can why if they were busy I wasn't getting my order. If that doesn't make sense to you I'm glad, because it doesn't make any sense to me, either. I'll stick to Sam's where orders never take more than 3 minutes, they have more than a single zero sugar option for soft drinks, and ice cream is...
