A nice casual restaurant which has plenty of seating both inside and outdoors. Patio is included. Pet friendly outdoors. Besides providing the patio J Roccos offers a spacious out door dining experience which includes a fire pit tables and it surrounded by wooded trees and the ever so popular Espus Creek. We opted to sit outdoors close by the creek. We were welcomed promptly after arriving and seated. The server explained how to place an order. A large chalk board is provided out doors as well as indoor also server will offer tge specials of the day. A full menu with plenty of options to choose from is included on the board. Dinner entrees include 2 sides and a trip to the salad bar. I was excited about the salad bar seeing as salad bars seem to have become a thing of the past in many restaurants ever since covid. The salad bar offered many fresh veggies as everything was nice and fresh. I loved the argula lettuce. After order was placed our drinks and food came out fast and efficient. Pricing is excellent as well as food. I highly reccomend the bbq ribs half rack entree. Extremely tender bbq sauce was delicious and the slaw French fries were a good choice. Delicious. I had a nice ice cold beer on tap which hit the spot and paired well with the entree. My partner had a strip steak and would highly reccomend his entree. The server was fast but at the same time took time with us and we appreciated her educating us about the georgeous Espus Creek. We both were to full to have tried the desserts the restaurant had offered. This restaurant is a popular place for the local people to come. And I can see why. I love the put door setting including the awesome fire pit. Relaxing and lovely. You should visit J Roccos visiting the area. They do not disappoint! Thank you J Roccos for the upmost pleasurable dining experience. We hope to dine with you again next time we visit...
Read moreI was at your establishment today with a party of 5..I had been there before and wanted to treat my friends to some good food and a nice ambiente . I was surprised the place seemed to have changed chefs ....Me and my party were greatly disappointed . even the service was lackluster (I only tipped 10% instead of the 15 to 20% I give for great service ) First we ordered calamari the portion was smaller than I have had there before and it was over cooked making it very chewy ...next there was no prime rib !!!!! I had bragged so much about the prime rib that you could not finish and how you would have to take it home ...and you were out of prime rib,how can you be out of prime rib at 5:45 on a Tuesday night .? . the spaghetti with clam sauce was horrible being nothing but pure olive oil {again surprised} the shrimp dinner the shrimp were small and there were less of them then previously . All in all it seemed like you had change from a great restaurant to a bar with food , we were greatly disappointed . I have no plans to go back to your restaurant in the future . At least it was only $136 with tip . Now I will have to go to Kingston for a good meal. I thought you would like to know why your business is dropping off. I know I would...
Read moreAvoid this place like the plauge. I live in the area and had been unilaterally told by my friends not to go here, but I went anyway to give them a chance and went with my girlfriend a few months ago. What a mistake. I ordered fried fish with vegetables and she ordered fish tacos. I first started to get weird vibes when we ordered a bottle of wine and the waitress slapped in down on the table without opening it or pouring it for us (it was twist off but still). This place bills itself as a fancy steakhouse but reminded me more of those $5 fish fry places you see by strip malls. The vegetables were somehow mush on the outside and raw on the inside (and also stone cold). The fish tasted like it had been fried last week and microwaved for me. My favorite part was, and I kid you not, the sour cream that came with here tacos was served in a prepackaged HOOD brand container that the waitress casually tossed on the table. There was a huge Burmese Mountain Dog that was wandering around the room begging for scraps from tables (don't get me wrong, I love dogs, but I found this entirely inappropriate). One of the worst dining experiences I've ever...
