Bassett Health Center Sherburne — Local services in Town of Sherburne

This is a review for the whole Bassett network. You’re Doctors who took an oath. I’m new to the area & called not one by 5 Basset offices in their local network. Cooperstown, Edmeston, Sherburne, & Oneonta.

After calling, being asked my personal information, if I identified as Transgender, & giving my Social Security Number, I was denied by all offices as “they are no longer taking new patients”.

I was suffering from a Hypertension attack (unknowingly) & wanted to make an appointment. Was refused over & over & over again.

Asked for someone to call me back. No one ever did. Was later rushed to the Utica ER room an hour away. Never trust a doctor network who refuses a...

Nurses, front of house medical schedulers, and phlebotomist were 5/5 amazing, and kind!

As for the doctors and medical practitioners, I was disappointed with the lack of professionalism, stigmatizing substance misuse and alarming lack of compassion. Thankfully I went to Syracuse, my symptoms were FINALLY believed and I got my autoimmune diagnosis.

What an amazing place to visit today, coming from a very low place , to receive some desperately needed help. Pam, and Dr.Haswell; listened, and asked questions… instead of assuming anything.
