So my wife purchased a washer and dryer. First they told her they would have to make 2 delivery trips because dryer was not in stock. They showed up on the delivery date with both. When the 2 "delivery men" came, if you want to call them delivery men... they got out of the truck, walked to where the machines were to be installed and told my wife the machines would not fit through the door and that she would need to swap them for smaller ones. They did not even try to attempt. They didn't even take the machines out of the truck. I told my wife to make them leave the machines at our home. They took the washer out of the truck and left it in front of my house and then told my wife the washer machine was too heavy to transport and that they hoped "her husband was a big guy with a twin" in order to move the washer machine into the house. Remember... 2 "delivery men" came. I got home from work put the machine on a dolley and moved it to the back of the house myself. The machine that was to heavy for 2 "delivery men". I called my brother in law, and we carried both machines down 8 stairs through a door that was 4" wider then the machines and installed them our selves. I called the office the next day. The man that answered said he would pass me to his boss. This gentleman came on and listened to me speak saying he doesn't know the situation and would speak with his guys. I asked for a call back. Of course I did not get a call back because they got their money and that's all they care about. There's no such thing as good customer service anymore. Read moreMy Wife and I live but 5 minutes away from Appliance sales plus we pass the building every day , but for some reason when we needed to replace anything we went to the big box stores. This time the washer and dryer from that big box store didn't last and we needed a new pair in a hurry. I looked on line made a few calls to other places and my wife said lets just go down to Appliance sales and see what they have we need it fast. So we did. We walked in and was greeted by Steve and Carl. I have to say they were great, took there time with us and we walked out with buying a new washer and dryer. I looked online afterwards and there price was actually less then the big box stores and I found out when you buy from the big box store they make the manufacturer build the item to there specs that's why there cheaper, now I have a real machine built the way the manufacturer intended it to be built so hopefully it will last longer. The delivery was set up for the next day, I had to work so my wife was home. The drivers showed up on time and took there time to make sure everything went according to plan, nothing was rushed or damaged in the removal and install. So to sum it up, when we need to purchase anything, we are going down the block ( as I use to say when we lived in the Bronx) to appliance sales plus. Thanks guys...
Read moreI ordered an air conditioner to replace an old broken one. I gave them the dimensions of the existing through wall 'hole' and was advised to buy a UniFit Friedrich for $941. The delivery arrived and the new AC was 22"x14", without a new sleeve. It obviously was NOT uni-fit and required extensive carpentry to seal into space. I had the unit returned immediately by the delivery guys. I called that day 7/25/18 and 3 subsequent times. I left messages. I received NO call back and no refund. By 8/6/18 I initiated a dispute thru my VISA card and called again. I finally got the salesman who assured me a refund would be processed. It is now 8/10/18 and there is no evidence of refund pending. Maybe this process is slow, but the failure of AppliancePlus to respond for 12 days was terrible customer service. Hopefully, I will get the refund eventually but the bad advice and faulty order indicates less care in helping a customer avoid a big hassle & snafu and more interest in making a sale. PS now 8/20- almost a month after returned AC--no refund even with salesman Karl's assurance 2 weeks ago that refund was processed ! Other retail refunds do not require this much time.
