Dollar General — Local services in Town of Stockbridge

This store is brand new. The girl stocking the shelves was very nice. The woman behind the register, ( she seemed to be the manager ) was miserable. A customer had just got done being cashed out. He was walking away and now it was my turn. She went to walk away because she didn't notice me coming. She saw me and started walking back to the register. She looked annoyed. No hello, no nothing. I asked how she was doing. " Good...." is all I got. Me, the customer, asking how SHE is doing. She stayed quiet through my 25 items or so as she rang me up. She hands me the receipt and that's it. No good bye, have a nice day, nothing. Sorry to bash a person but she was rude and miserable. She just had this annoyed persona about her. We all have problems. Leave your issues at the door and put on the face...

When the store was first opening I really hesitated to go there. I never use Dollar stores I usually go to the big grocery stores. But holy cow, this one totally changed all that. During the beginning of the covid thing they had all supplies that a person could need and they were very clean and reliable. The store shelves are very well kept and the floor is always clean. The people working there have been friendly, and even with all the many bags of ice I bought, loaded my car for me! The selection of stuff just can't be beat and the prices knock me out. My only complaint is the digital coupons which are not handy at all. But it does not stop me from shopping there, the store is a great thing to happen to the local area. Saves so much...

The employees were stocking the shelves today... I was waiting to check out... Called for help a few times... Rang the bell and rang the bell... Nothing.. I asked an outside vendor who was stocking shelves to call in the back for help which she helpfully did... She said "Kathy" would be right there... She never came... I eventually left my items on the cash desk and walked out... No one was in the storefront, no one came out to ring me up... I hope the poor woman who was behind me eventually got rung up...One star today DG... Good job leaving your sales floor unattended... Usually the service is excellent... Not...
