This was a special place to visit. My daughter loves waterfalls, and we typically do a weekend trip each spring to see how many we can find. This was stop two of the day and a huge surprise. There is plenty or parking, a short walk up a well maintained trail to the base of the falls. A fantastic view. The surprise was the stairs up the east side that leads behind the waterfall. Those stairs are not for the faint of heart, and I can see that many people would struggle to safely make it up, but if you can it's well worth the stressful climb. We continued to the top of the falls, and took the west trail back to the bottom, which I would recommend. I wouldn't want to try to get back down the stairs passing people...
Read moreI go here once or twice a year if I am camping at Labrador Pond. It's fun to climb behind the falls (when they are flowing) and the is also an abundance of fossils in this area. I would avoid taking fossils as not to trash the place or have people digging everywhere. I found this photo of me there from 2 decades ago and wanted to share.
