I've been to several tracks in the state but never this one so I was initially excited to go to this one. First of all, you can't bring in anything inside, not even bottled water. Understandably so but not water? Then looked around the concession areas, as expected at any dirt track you go to. Now here's the disappointment, the appearance of the track and seating areas. My impression was it appeared as if it was closed for a number of years and just reopened, the bleachers were warped, very close to the track, all in good but way too many obstructions blocking any decent view, protective fencing, light poles and especially the overgrown infield, blocking the back stretch. Even though the event was cancelled due to a torrential downpour, flooding the pit area and some of the parking area, it was a sign it was a blessing in disguise, and a reason why it rained right then and there. Bottom line, to make it a fan friendly track, it needs a huge overhaul as it's very primitive, considered a slum track and a total dump to say the least. Despite the fact it was cancelled, in my 50 years of going to dirt tracks to watch dirt track racing which I truly enjoy, this by far was the worst track ive been at and I will never step foot at this track again. This track should have been closed Instead of Rolling wheels. The owners should wake up and invest in a complete renovation to make it a good representation of a dirt sanctioned facility as it is a dirt...
Read moreThe Monster Truckz show was here over the weekend. We were so excited for this event and ended up sadly disappointed. Before we went in we bought my daughter a T-shirt and a toy for $50! We wanted to grab a drink before getting to our seats but quickly found out that they don't serve alcohol at this event at all, even though the venue has a liquor license. The show was supposed to start at 7. They started at 7:15 and the monster trucks went first for about 10 minutes then the dirt bikes came out. Normally there are a lot of them but there were only 2 and one of them didn't do any tricks. He was clearly new to riding and very inexperienced. After a half hour of basically a whole lot of nothing, they took a 30 minute intermission!! They came back out at 8:15 and did the human cannon ball and a few more tricks from the dirt bikes. We ended up leaving because the trucks barely did anything. They charged for parking which you never have to pay when you come to races so why charge for this?! Especially when it was as bad as it was. Wayyyyy overpriced event for what it was. We will stick to the actual Monster Trucks that come to the oncenter in Syracuse. This was such a disappointment to the kids and adults! The venue is run down and bleachers are about to fall down....
Read moreRacing was great food I can't say the same for, got a hot dog normally they are good as they are Hoffman hot dogs but today it was some trashy brand of hot dog being sold and advertised as Hoffman hot dogs very very disappointed took 2 bites and threw the rest in the trash that's how bad it was. It would just dissolve in your mouth after you bit a piece off you didn't even have to chew it, Bar S hot dogs even taste better then this one did.....and they are wondering why their fan and car counts are going down all the time and every week....sell what you advertise and don't try to RIP people off and maybe things would be different I know other tracks have enough cars to make 2 features for a certain class every single week they must be doing...
