I have been to ReFabulous Furnishings 4-5 times, purchased a big mirror and a chair on seperate occasions. My 81 year old Mother (retired Nurse practiciner) came to visit the area, I thought we would go to Refaboulous Furnishings before going out to lunch. From the second we walked in workers were following both of us around. Two women followed my Mother and asked if she needed help immediatly. This is before she looked at anything, she responded just checking it all out. They responded check it all as much as you want, snarky. We just walked in. Im looking at 75% off thirft store junk and a women stood near me pretending to organize stuff. Im not talking 2-3 times , Anywhere i walked one of 6-7 workers walked past me or near me over 10 times. Found my Mother and left not buying a plant table. Completely ridiculous, great way to lose a customer, There are a whole bunch of stores exactly like this, I suggest people GO ANYWHERE ELSE. No one is stealing your thrift store glasses and plates.
REPLY I was at the store after 12:30pm ofcourse your going to spin it as a misunderstanding. When i walked in we both said hi to a woman, A man sitting next to her got up and follewd me into the first room on the left. Every person near me and my mom were pretending to organize nothing. A blonde haired girl at the end followed me to 3 different areas. She finially left me alone when i started venting my frustration about all the people following me around. I will 100% NEVER drive 20 minutes to be treated like that. My Mother said she has never in her life experienced...
Read moreIt's a great place to get rid of furniture and such if you just want to clean up instead of the dump, goodwill, or a bonfire. They are somewhat less than transparent as to exactly where stuff goes and when it sells for what. They should have a pre agreed upon price drop ratio pro rated for the consignment period of 60 days. I brought in some tables that were decent, and they priced them pretty well on intake, but bought them themselves 2 weeks later for super cheap, sanded, polished and repainted them. Then low and behold moved them upstairs to their restored furniture loft selling them for 4 times the take in price. I dont mind something like that say at the last week of the 60 days. I asked for a full printout of everything I brought in and what happened to each piece over a 4 month period, and the dark haired lady seemed to just get annoyed with me. When another man finally printed it out for me, it was very confusing or even worse, with some items just marked as "unavailable " which he explained could mean almost anything, junked, goodwill, or donated?. Its a lot better than junking stuff, but NOT a good way to make money, your better of with a garage sale if you dont mind the hassle. Take pictures of questionable items as they dont take some things. Overall I was satisfied ,as I really didnt want to garage sale, dump, goodwill, or burn the stuff I had to clean out, 30...
Read moreI have drove by last this place many times and the other day I decided to stop and take a look. I am glad I did. When I first walked in I was overwhelmed with the amount of items that they had. I was greeted by a friendly and polite young man. He asked me if I had any questions just ask. I started to the left and walked around toward the back of the building which brings you into a larger room filled with items then if you continue to walk around right, you come back out to the front. There were several women moving items around but it was a young man that paying attention to the customers. I think the young man's name was Sam. I found the prices to be reasonable, some prices were lower than I expected and on a few items there were a little higher then I would expect. Sam had told me that the longer an item sets there they end up marking it down. For those people that said the items were too high, probably were cheap customers. ReFabulous Furnishings is a consignment shop meaning people bring stuff there to sell some of the prices could be the people that are selling the items not the actual workers that work at the shop. I highly recommend stopping in and giving it a look. Trust me when I say you can walk through once walk through again and see something you missed the first time. There is a lot of good bargains that can't...
