This business is not a good choice for anyone trying to protect themselves from catching Covid-19.

This location does not enforce the state’s health and safety regulations regarding masks. While the staff wear masks and they tell you when you sign in that you have to keep your masks on, they do absolutely nothing to enforce it. They are operating at 100% capacity, with parties at all 24 lanes and several leagues. I’d estimate 85-90% of the patrons do not wear their masks. They are not all eating or drinking, they just know that staff will do nothing about it.

I gave one staff member the feedback that no one was wearing their masks and he started by telling me that I’m wearing mine, so that’s all I need to be safe. That is a blatant falsehood, directly contradicting what the CDC says. When I said that’s not true he changed tactic and told me that he tells them to wear their masks and that’s all he can do. Another lie. All businesses are faced with this regulation right now and yet they don’t have businesses full of mask-less people. They simply tell their patrons that they can either wear their masks or they have to leave. It’s very effective. Sunset Bowl is deliberately choosing not to enforce this covid safety measure.

It makes me wonder, if they are willing to disregard this important health and safety regulation, what other regulations might be being ignored in the operation of this business. They are not protecting the safety of their customers and at least the person I spoke with was very open about the fact that he’s not willing to try any harder than telling people to wear their masks once,...

Nice place but they are not open or very busy. 9 out of 10 times I end up driving to Canandaigua. The last time I went they had 2 lanes open. They wouldn't let me and my friend on one of the lanes because someone reserved them for 3pm it was 2:45pm. I stated it only takes me about 10 minutes per game. That had a wait so they could ask the group if we could use one of the lanes. The group arrived at 3:10 and decided they needed both and that they wanted to eat before playing leaving both lanes open for another 30 minutes. So the 2 lanes were unused for...

EXTREMELY poor customer service. I'd gone outdoors to smoke a cigarette. Upon returning into the building I asked the young man behind the counter for my bowling shoes because someone had taken them from the shoe area. He refused to give me any shoes because he said I'd gone outside in them. I showed him that I clearly had my personal footwear on my feet. That was not good enough for him. He continued to accuse me of not being truthful. After a few more moments of me pleading my case He reluctantly gave in. I'll NEVER visit this...
