Spoke to Dale about getting a stove and chimney for my cottage. He told me wouldn't work, stove been in cabin 50 years. Still works. He told me go somewhere else. Made 1 call, i did, chimney can go through wall and meet new code. I verified with insurance now as well. Dont see hiw anyone can be so ill guided. Tells me not a good business to deal with at all. Have cottage in the cecil area since 1971. Went to Green Bay and two businesses I learned are in this area all the time. I prefer local business, but in this case, along with my neighbors , I learned this business man isn't good at all. Thirty minute drive and you will find businesses that actually come to your location and see what is going on, before saying no. Wouldn't give this business any support. We have 2 pellet stoves that we purchased from Hawkeye 14+ years ago that we use to heat our home. We really appreciate the professional advice and service that they continually provide. The stoves are easy to work on, enough for me to repair most things myself with their help and guidance, and if things get difficult, they quickly have been there to service them for us. When we purchased them originally, Hawkeye's normal price was hundreds less than the dealer in Dale, WI who had this promotional "this price is only good today because it is so low"... but we decided to leave their store and check out Hawkeye the next day. We are so glad we did. We highly recommend Hawkeye in Shawano to anyone looking for a pellet or gas stove, kitchen appliance, or quality...

Purchased a wood burning stove here. Everything went well and staff was friendly at first. Some time later after the install I started having batt issues like crazy. Called to ask about a resolution, it took several days for the boss to call me back, only to have him tell me that there is no way to fix the issue, and that I should just put a bag over the chimney when I am not using it. Otherwise its not fixable and apparently he knows what he is talking about because of years of experience or something like that. Called a competitor to ask about the issue and got better advice immediately. I am all for supporting local business, but I definitely won't be working with this...
