I feel it's important to share my recent observations and experiences as a former customer of this store. While I have appreciated certain aspects of the store in the past, there are a few concerns that I believe need to be addressed.
One recurring issue that has caught my attention is the presence of expired items on the shelves. On multiple occasions, I've come across products that were well past their expiration dates – some by several months, and even years. This raises questions about the store's commitment to quality control and maintaining fresh inventory.
Additionally, I've noticed a lack of expiration dates on certain perishable items. This omission is troubling, as customers rely on this information to make informed decisions about the products they purchase.
Furthermore, I understand that challenges can arise, but the flash sale involving "Sunkist Orange" products back in May of 2022 left me quite disappointed. Learning that this sale was connected to an incident where a truck spill resulted in mold-covered cans and boxes was appalling.
I hope these concerns are taken constructively and are viewed as an opportunity for improvement. Maintaining high standards for product quality, freshness, and accurate labeling is crucial for any reputable...
Read moreVery disappointing experience. Most of the meat did not have expiration dates. I was directed to a sign that claims they freeze right before it expires. How do they know they are freezing safe products if there is no expiration date. I asked for turkeys with an expiration date, so I waited 20 minutes. I wanted to leave after 15 minutes, but the cashier told me "No! You have to wait! They are looking in the back for turkeys for you!" I felt obliged. None of the ham had expiration dates. I declined that. Their sign said that they sell things nearing expiration date and freezing them. It was not prominent or large. It should be bigger and definetly more prominent. I also think that what they are doing should be on their web site, for honesty's sake, if not ethics sake. Did you know the USDA does not require companies to put expiration dates on their meat? CAVEAT EMPTOR BUYER BEWARE. Will not be going back there. OK for nonperishables, but certainly not unmarked frozen meat. Wrote them a long complaint letter. Hope to hear...
Read moreI absolutely love your store most of the time - pretty neat there is a cash and carry restaurant supply store that is open to the public.
But today, Saturday, October 2, 2021 there was a great bacon sale, $25 for 15 pounds! Dang, that was awesome, especially as bacon climbs steadily to $6-8/lb depending on the brand and store! But when you're dividing the case to utilize more effectively in the future and you notice the PACKAGED date was nearly two years ago 12/27/2019, that is ridiculous, how long has it been in the freezer? It is flavorless trash and older than the pandemic! I am appalled by the quality, flavor and the fact that your establishment took advantage of their customers in a vulnerable economy! I was trying to purchase in bulk to save my family money now I've wasted money instead!
Check out their Facebook picture, it was Tom's special! Now the case pictured has the packaging date.
Buyer beware to check your dates at this place, this isn't my first rodeo with expired, near expired or...
