B&D Village Inn — Restaurant in Town of Wheatland

Going in there was an experience I've never had before. My friend and I walked in and there were two people sitting at the bar, the bartender and perhaps a waitress sitting eating lunch we walked in and said hi and nobody responded. We said oh we went by and we're looking for some food so we thought we would try here. No response. By chance we noticed there was a menu up on the wall and so we were looking at it and my friend said do you folks offer fish? In between bites the lady said no that's tomorrow. Stopped in for a bit to eat on a Saturday afternoon. Very friendly staff and customers. Also got to meet George, the bulldog. Defiently a variety on the menu. From appetizers to burgers. Looks like a great spot for Fish Fry. Lori our bartender/cook even went above and beyond and allowed me to order frog legs (Fridays only) we also ordered the pork chop! Cash only bar, should have a big sign in window or online that says cash only. Or before you pour a shot kindly inform the non regulars of how the bar is cash only. Kinda stupid I went there for a shot and had it poured to be told to use the atm. I wanted one shot, not paying a fee to pull out money for a $4.00 shot. It’s 2024 time to update the registers...
