I've lived in cambridge for 5 years now.
Brett has been here most of the time (if not the whole time) I've been here. In the last five years, he let me borrow a set of shop batteries when I ONLY had enough for the tool. He reopened shop when my shower was flooding with black water to get me a bucket so I could move the water outside with the pump I bought here. He's given me advice on waterproofing terminal connectors. He's helped me find anything and everything I've needed.
Whenever I can, I go to ace before I go to Amazon or Oreilleys. Because the staff here is absurdly friendly and always willing to help. I know that I would have felt frustrated if I were in their shoes at least once, but if they were, they never showed it and met me with a friendly demeanor.

Read moreIs this a hardware store or a flea market? the guy was kinda helpful untill I got to the register where he aggressively tryed to sell me flashlights, attempting to feature their brightness by shining them in my eyes, which is a bonehead move on a normal day and worse when your eyes are already irritated from saw dust. I'm not gonna buy your flashlights because it was annoying as a mosquito bite. Then you try and negotiate the price of the flashlights? What kind of sales tactic is that even? Who does that work on? Because all it made me want to do was not patronize this establishment....
Read moreThis store is horrible these days. Employee at the counter doesn't have a clue. Store has very limited inventory and what they do have is anywhere from 25% to 80% more expensive than other stores. I use to try to buy locally before going into the big box stores, however with this place save yourself the headache, frustration and money and go elsewhere.
In response to the stores reply, Hours of training yet an employee doesn't know he shouldn't walk away from the customers that have been waiting in line to take care of the UPS guy that just walked in who is being paid to be there......
