Dollar General — Local services in Town of White Creek

Well well. Reviewing Dollar General... The DG in Cambridge is in a rather run down building with a run down parking lot. That being said, I appreciate it as a community resource for affordable staples and odds and ends I don't want to leave town for. Also, props to them for their late hours. Long after Rite Aid has shut its doors on Sunday afternoon, DG is there if you need OTC medicine or first aid products, not to mention everything else they have: cat food and litter, school or party supplies basic clothing. The current staff is always friendly and nice despite their busy jobs and the need to be in more than one place at once most of the time. When this DG first opened, almost every visit I was there staff members complained about work conditions/expectations to each other right in front of lines of customers. That is not a good thing, even though I know people often have legitimate concerns. Thankfully those people are gone or the complaining has otherwise stopped. This store seriously needs to repaint the blue lines around the handicapped parking spots, they are really faded. Everytime I come to this store all the handicapped spots are full and none of the cars there have a handicap placard OR plate on their cars. There is only one sign, and the lines are super faded so it is hard to tell but this should be enforced, and people taking handicapped parking spaces that are not eligible should be ticketed, no excuses. It’s bad enough being disabled and struggling to shop in this store that’s a mess… at least make it easier for us to get in the door. I’m tempted to grab blue spray paint and...

I live near this DG and I think the place is a disgrace. The parking lot is awful, the building is falling apart, it almost always stinks inside and the last time I went there was a real live bat flying around the store. Not even joking there was a little brown bat flying around terrorizing customers. The staff are misserable and rude, except for this one really nice guy, I like him.

Overall bad experience would not recommend going there if you're in town unless...
