Discovered a hidden gem in Maine! Angel Falls — 90-foot cascade deep in the forest, and YES, it’s worth the hike! One of the most beautiful waterfalls in New England 📍Franklin County, ME Would you chase this waterfall? #AngelFallsMaine #MaineHikes #HiddenGemsUSA #WaterfallWednesday #NatureTok #TravelMaine #ExploreNewEngland #HikingAdventures #WaterfallChasers #BucketListSpots

To reach Angel Falls in all its glory (after steady rain) is a trek that shouldn’t be taken lightly. It’s possible the gate will be closed on the dirt road (due to washout) which will add an additional 6.3-ish miles to your hike (round trip). Once reaching the actual trailhead, there is a wide brook that has to be crossed, and further upstream, another 5 brook crossings (rock hopping) are required. From the trailhead to the falls is a little more than a half mile, but it feels longer because of the slow pace for careful footing required at spots. After reaching the falls though, you’ll immediately be in awe when viewing one of Maine’s three-tallest waterfalls. I’ve seen a lot of waterfalls in New England, Angel Falls is in my top 5. I did not want to leave! I spent over an hour watching this incredible sight.

This destination point will get you in the general area driving to the falls. Search for and use the location that is "Angel Falls Parking Lot" off Bemis Road in Roxbury for your point to drive as close as possible to the falls. See my review at that destination. This is an actual location of actual falls however you must do a hike through the woods crossing the rocky brook. I have yet to verify everything to the Falls, I have made it to the second brook crossing but have yet to make the crossing! It is a very challenging crossing and doable, but I saw it was much easier for the younger crowd to continue than myself at my age! I will continue later in the summer and get more information and photos to help with finding the Falls! I have a photo of the second brook crossing here.

What an absolute gem in western Maine. Beautiful 90 ft waterfall. To access the falls is tricky, the location of this is the exact coordination of the falls but not to the trailhead. Start at angel falls parking lot, go all way to the end after the Y fork. Beware this is an unpaved, bumpy road. Youll need suitable car to handle this road. At the end of the lot it might get confusing, the trail starts at the left side, southwards. Down that trail around quarter mile, youll see a river you have to cross. From there follow the red markings, youll have to cross the river three more times. Total .75 miles to the angels. Enjoy...
