Have been doing business with Evergreen furniture for over 10 years and have always been a satisfied until our most recent purchase. Called Evergreen to let them know our lift up coffee table top broke while playing cards. Thank goodness the very heavy top did not strike either of my young grandsons when it fell. Manager explained to take pictures and he would contact the manufacturer to see what could be done as they “always back their products”. Very disappointed when the manager called to let me know that after reviewing the pictures he has no idea how this happened and has never saw anything like it in all his years of work in the furniture industry. Speaking to the manager made me feel like I was lying because he did not understand how this could happen. I was informed that they would not replace but charge me to have the item picked up and brought to the shop for repair. After spending close to $4,000 on a complete living room set I would have expected more. There are many other stores that would be glad to receive my money as I will no longer do business nor recommend Evergreen Furniture...
Read morePurchased a clearance La-zy-Boy leather reclina-rocker from Evergreen, the padding and comfort of the chair was exactly what we were looking for. The display had a blemish on the arm so they said they could give us a brand new one out of the box, the chair was delivered to a relative who lives nearby the store and when we finally were able to pick it up and get it home a week later and sat in it, it sat totally different, the padding is almost overstuffed like and pushes your body and forward and is very uncomfortable. I called the store and they said they couldn't or I should say wouldn't do anything about it because number one they will only return an item unless it is on the same day of delivery and also said the display might have been out for a year or 2 and that is why it sat different! So that means the chair after a year or 2 is going to be a totally different chair and after another year will be a piece of junk! What does that say about the quality of Lazy Boy! Don't spend your money at this store, they offer no resolution and leave...
Read moreOrdered chair 10 months ago. Gave 50% deposit. Was told delivery in 5-6 months. Understood with pandemic and such. Called 5 and a half months later and was told by sales person it would be 4 more months. Waited another 5 months had heard nothing so we stopped in to check. Sales person said it would be in the next week as it was on truck from company! Heard nothing that week, called to check after week and was told it would be 3-4 more weeks! Sales person lied to us about it being on truck, and admitted that they had told me it was on truck week prior. Asked to speak to Mgr as I wanted money back. Went there a few hours later to speak to manager and sales person said" I didn't lie to you"......that was the second lie. Manager came out and tried to make excuses and I explained the sales person lied, he got defensive and offered refund which I took! This business does not do business in an ethical way. I will never stop there again and will let everyone I know how they do business! If I could rate no stars...
