New resident of Troy and Avid golfer. What a great layout and for the City to have a pool and a golf course right here. You have the beginnings to a very good place. Played the course 3 times and First impressions still do make a difference. Entering or calling the Shop, players are greeted and welcomed warmly. Ethan was very nice and helpful. Conditions need improved big time, but you all know that. Tee Boxes and Greens will keep players coming back to your course. The opposite is true. Bad presentation of both with not get too many repeat players. The hard part is to get your players to WANT to help keep your course nice. Do you give players access to sand and seed divot mix? No, none on the cart, on Par 3’s Tee Boxes and nothing at the turn to refill mixture used on the front 9! You have signs all over the course about “fixing divots” and “repairing ball marks” but these don’t mean anything if the message isn’t delivered. After paying, does the Shop saying “Thank you for choosing Denson’s Creek” “Please do your best to repair divots and fix your ball mark plus 1-2 others”. Seems tacky and stupid. But people notice and they will help and want to take care of the course. Some things are truly out of sight out of mind. So put those things at the front of the players minds! If I know all of these things about course etiquette. I still can’t practice them if these things are available to help your efforts to improve the playing conditions. Encourage Foursome and allowing faster players to play through. Encourage the kids. There is a pool right next door. Do you offer “Course Classes” not golf lessons? Something to educate people about the game. I don’t care if it takes to 6 hours to play a round. Do you let other people play through because you are slow? Does the Pro shop advertise to the Pool Goers? Is there a resident discount? Are your memberships advertised to or in unison when collecting player emails?? These are all things you can control. These are all things that don’t cost extra. These are all things that will improve foot traffic. That will improve conditions that will improve the appearance and finally that will ultimately improve overall conditions of...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of playing Densons Creek Golf Course and was thoroughly impressed. Even in December, the course was in fantastic condition. The bent grass greens rolled true and maintained a vibrant green color, defying the typical winter look.
The course itself presents a delightful challenge with a good mix of risk and reward. Water hazards come into play on several holes, and the two par 3s exceeding 180 yards demand accurate long irons. The hilly terrain and numerous doglegs add another layer of strategy.
I particularly enjoyed the challenge of navigating the doglegs and the thrill of achieving two chip-in birdies, which certainly helped my score.
I highly recommend Densons Creek to any golfer looking for a rewarding and well-maintained course. I'm already looking forward to playing...

New head pro Ethan Brown has left a totally terrible taste of RUDENESS, INEPTNESS & Lack of Customer concerns. When shown a WRITTEN AGREEMENT from Whispering Woods, where we paid an upfront amount of $65.00 that we as paying customers would be granted $10.00 off of the daily rate with no restrictions of how many rounds. This new guy wanted to charge us $50.00 while everyone else paid $30.00 The COURSE is great, the NEW PRO...a tactless...
