Down in Atlanta for the weekend, played this place for the first time and no complaints, no reservation just a walk in. Got us going with an hour wait. Used that time for a practice on the massive range. The range is as good as any I've seen or practiced on. The starter got us out earlier than expected on the Heritage 9 and from the off every hole is a picture. Not the best time of the year visually but boy the course is a stunner. Keep it in play and you have a chance, greens are a bit tricked up, plenty of, or to much slope on them, you have to be in the right place to have a chance at 1 or 2 putts, failing that and you are rolling off the green. Went to the shorter Tradition 9 for the back nine. It was virtually empty but just as fun, again greens were a bit tricked up. They have done a good job of fitting 9 on this small bit of property. Pace of play was good, weather probably helped, teeboxes need work, fairways were good, bunkers were fine though a little wet in places due to recent rain. Staff friendly, happy to chat and help. No problem recommending this place to play golf.

If the course was $40, then I would give it a different rating. The score is based off value, or lack thereof. Frankly, what we played is probably a 2.5. The course has a decent layout, with 3 seperate 9s and good distance at least on one of the 9s. It has been a tough winter, but there is hardly any grass in the fairways. Good luck hitting a wedge or any kind of chip. A few of the tee boxes are gone. There was more sand on them then in the bunkers - the actual bunkers, might have been waste bunkers as they had some huge rocks in them. The course is surprinslgy hilly with a lot of undulation. Some of the pin placements needed a clowns mouth as it was nearly impossible to get a ball close. Considering the parking lot was full, pace of play was not awful for the weekend. The greens rolled relatively true and were the best part of the layout. There are also a ton of drains in the middle of the fairway, which I do not ever recall seeing on any course that i had played previously. I doubt we come back, especially not at $85+ a round.

This is a 9 hole course now. Legacy has been redone and plays well. Heritage is closed for maintenance and tradition is open but there isn’t a green that is remotely playable. If you come here looking at the price as a 9 hole you’ll be satisfied if the price for the 9 is fair to you. And on the tradition course every fairway and rough is littered with shredded golfballs that were caught up in the mower. Makes finding your ball a joy.

Summary: Beautiful course (Legacy) with above average fairways and tee boxes. Below average bunkers that are very rocky. Average very soft greens with a few being below average. The legacy side is a must play in the Atlanta area.

The Tradition side is atrocious and absolutely horrid. Average fairways and below average tee boxes. The length is pretty short, the 9 feels cluttered and clumped together, causing traffic jams. And the GREENS ARE HORRENDOUS. Bare spots everywhere, super soft, roll terribly and with variance. The bunkers are terrible as well, with them being very firm and rocky.

The driving range was unfortunate because they had mats only on a sunny Wednesday afternoon; and they have terrible mats. Practice green is nice but a tad small; but how it rolls makes up for the size. And the chipping area actually has a fairway grass green you can chip to and an actual kept up green you can chip to and play bunker shot out of. The short game area bunker has the most upkept bunker of the entire course. Would like to see grass used during the weekdays on the range and a fairway lie around the chipping area as now it is just rough around it. In all a nice short game are that I would for sure utilize to practice.

In summary play legacy, don't play traditional. Can't wait to see how Heritage plays.

Legacy 4/5 Tee: 4/5 Fairways: 4/5 Greens: 3/5 Difficulty: Fun and Challenging

Traditional 1/5 Tee: 2/5 Fairways: 3/5 Greens: 1/5( really only 2-3 Greens were in average shape) Difficulty: Short and an embarrassing compliment to the Legacy course.

Range Mats:1/5 Grass: IDK why mats only on a sunny Wednesday?!?! Bunker: 4/5 Pitching:4/5 Putting: 3.5/5 YES THEY HAVE RANGE LIGHTS FOR NIGHTS! Would I practice here? If...

Booked a 4:30 round on a Friday for me and 3 friends from out of town, and since this was their first time visiting GA for golf I booked us a weekend of local courses. This was our first stop. Price online when booking said $45 per player for the twilight rate, however the price is posted as $65 for twilight when you arrive at the course. Okay, no problem. We knew we wouldn’t get 18 in but to increase our pace of play we did a 2v2 best ball and kept it moving. We were behind another group of 4, with 2 separate groups of 2 behind us. We had to wait on every tee box, as expected for golf in metro Atlanta on a Friday afternoon. Our round was thrown off completely when a marshal approached us after teeing off on hole 8 - he said, “There’s an open green ahead of you, which means you’re playing about a stroke slow” I swear to god. And then proceeded to tell us to pick our balls up and count it as a par, because everyone wants to get out and finish their round. We finished 8 holes in 2 hours, while having to wait ourselves on every tee box. It’s a fun track honestly, I’ve enjoyed the challenging layout both times playing this course despite the rotting greens and miserably punched holes that are filled with sand to the point that you can’t even stick the flag in some of them. I will never return here. Felt completely disrespected by being told to pick up my ball after my tee shot on a 400 yard par 4. We stopped for hot dogs and drinks at the turn after skipping through the rest of that hole and wouldn’t you guess it, still had to wait on the tee box. Nick/Nate in the Golf Shop was a professional and very courteous, whoever that Marshal is needs to...
