This range offers a spectacular view, and is ran by a very professional staff. The range itself faces north, and offers excellent lighting conditions all day. The staff, and patrons of this park are always willing to help, and offer assistance and fantastic advice for those who are willing to listen, and have an open mind. Typically only open during the weekend, you can get in for just $6.00 a day. Cash only. They do only allow a single shooter at a time per booth. There is plenty of room though. Range officers will call a seize fore every 15 minutes to allow the changing of targets. Take a chance to read the range rules, and understand that the staff here have a lot of responsibility on there hands, including life or death safety. So don't be surprised if they are very assertive with you, giving you a direct command if you happen to inadvertently bend a rule. They aren't mad. But need to immediately correct any issues that could cause an unnecessary accident. But don't take it the wrong way. After a single visit you will have a great understanding of how the range operates. They do close down at around 430pm, so make sure you get there well before 4pm taking in consideration the 15 minute rounds. And just like any range please... Pick up your brass and collect your targets when you plan on leaving. I would absolutely recommend this range to any and all...
Read moreI have been going to TMP for a couple of years now and the experience was always good. The RSO's were always helpful and friendly. Until yesterday. I went with my husband to the range and paid our entry fee, went to my car to get my range box and my husband informed me that the RSO said we weren't allowed to shoot, or more specifically,I wasn't. On asking the RSO why, he came off super mean and said that I had not picked up my brass on Mothers Day after shooting off 200 rounds of .22s and his guys had to pick it up and that wasn't fair so I couldn't shoot until next time.and he gave me complimentary passes instead of my money back. (I was too shocked to really react to that at the time.) He was very unpleasnat about it and another RSO was sitting close by to make sure I didnt argue. I was really surprised and said at least twice that I ALWAYS clean up my brass,I ALWAYS clean up other peoples brass...which is true at any range I go to. Also that day I had been shooting mostly my new to me 9mm and certainly not 200 rounds of .22. Either way,I know range rules and I obey them. I thought being treated like I was 7 and getting kicked out of the sandbox was a bit much for this ALLEGED transgression which I know for a fact did not happen. But thanks for ruining my day tall white rude man with the white goatee! I will absolutely not be back.Anybody want my...
Read moreI love this place for the scenery and facility.Pima County has truly put my tax dollars to good use here. On the other hand my experience was me having to bite my tongue and take the judgement and advice of its staff. One individual in fact proceeded to tell me he would take my fire arm if he saw fit after I had asked him respectfully not to touch my fire arms we were not on cease fire and I was starting my set up. My barrels were all facing down range. He wanted to see if they were in chambered and mags out, which they were. He never asked me permission to touch any of my fire arms. We shook hands and I assumed we were done. He came back and patronized my ammo. I had to tell him hey man it’s what I can afford. My ammo never jammed my fire arms and yet he still insisted it would due to his past experiences. We did have a good laugh and he did offer good advice but although experts and marksman they severely lack customer service. It is my experience that they forget we are paying to be there. It is not free and I felt that I had to de escalate my conversation with Armando. It’s a great place to perfect ur hobby but be advised there is a lack of customer service and respect from some not all of the...
